Rooney's Off!! Erm.... apparently No he isn't now.

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

THe bloke is right doncha know.

BTW how come you never answered bmy question earlier about references to us ending up like Leeds or Pompey by Board mermbers and whether or not that was scare-mongering?

Found that a bit odd. Feel free to PM mwe an answer if you fear for the thread, but I do think you owe me that much given what you accused me of.

And supposedly Rooney fits the Webster Ruling criteria so could buy out his contract for something like £5m.

Can't see him staying in England tbh. Will more than likely join Real Madrid, they like an upset Utd player or two.

As already mentioned the golden generation (Schole and Giggs etc...) are close to retirement. Not just them but Neville, Van der Saar, Duck face is in his 30's.
SAF's not been able to strengthen and it's looking like the Glaziers are tightening the purse strings.

With this news this could be the final nail in the coffin.
I think the one thing to watch here is how they react to this. While they have been tightening the purse string the past two years or so, the fact is I don't think anyone expected this situation to arise, and they may have to react now or be accised of lacking ambition in much the way another club we know has as it's best players have been pushed out to cut spending.

As I said though it may not be a genuine replacement for Rooney but 2-3 replacements for some of the aging stars instead of one top top striker(though United seem to always have that one big star). IF we were to sign him somehow the real valkue in this could be that given what we wouild pay they simply won't have the money to do any oif that  !

Well it's obvious he's played his last game for the club. The fans will turn on him now and it's a bloody long time till January so it should be interesting at Old Trafford.
If City do get him then they will probably win the league and if he goes to Chelsea then we might as well turn the lights off now.
Apparently Everton get 30% of any fee so that's why Fergie looked so glum in his press conference!!
