The banner design will be on the REDaction Friday email and on the facebook page from tomorrow, as designed by the forum's very own Dan_85.
To give an insight into how much work goes into organising these things, I would estimate I have had to dedicate a minimum of 20 hours over the last two months to tweaking the design with Dan, speaking with the senior team at AFC about what can / cannot be authorised, talking to various manufacturers to get the most competitive quote, obtaining fire certificates, sorting out shipping to N5, organising a pre match dry run, arranging access to club level pre and post match, and finally having to be at the stadium for 9am on Saturday morning to receive the banner and go through the final safety checks with Stadium management.
All this is my own time, and receive no payment etc, but I love doing it.
I'll be glad when it's all over by Saturday afternoon, to be honest!

I'm hopefully going to be bringing a 6ft x 4ft flag with me on Saturday (thanks to Dan), does anyone know if I'll have any hassle with it for the stewards. It probably won't leave my bag during the game to be honest as I'm in the middle of the upper tier on my tod as the rest of the guys are sitting elsewhere.
if its staying in your bag why are you bringing it?RoscommonGooner wrote:I'm hopefully going to be bringing a 6ft x 4ft flag with me on Saturday (thanks to Dan), does anyone know if I'll have any hassle with it for the stewards. tbh the stewards never have more than a cursory glance in my bag, and they're only looking for bottles really.
I think so long as it doesn't block anyone's view you should be OK. But this is the communist state of Arsenal FC so they may well tell you its a terrorist threat/offensive/a fire hazard/"not the Arsenal way"/all of the above.RoscommonGooner wrote:I'm hopefully going to be bringing a 6ft x 4ft flag with me on Saturday (thanks to Dan), does anyone know if I'll have any hassle with it for the stewards. Unfortunately our stadium is a bit shit for hanging flags etc, really the only places you've got are over the fascias between the tiers/club level etc. If it hangs down & blocks the view of people in the boxes below then probably you're only gonna be able to display it for a bit at half time while they're inside munching. A drop of 4ft might just be OK though, it may only slightly obscure their view, if at all.
They're a bit arsey about fire safety as well i think
