If Harry loved kids and took it upon himself only to bring in kids to spurs for fucking years and only sign little tiny midgets year after year we would be trying to find something to slag him off about.
The song derives from when he first arrived in England and the papers made up claims that he was a paedophile. Get pissed off with his footballing management all you like but there is a WORLD of difference between a devloping a good youth academy (after all isn't English football fucked because as a country we haven't invested in youth and aren't the likes of Wilshere a new dawn of English talent thanks to Wenger) and purchasing cheap young players who you can develop and fucking shagging children, mikey!
Moreover, I'm sure Harry takes as much credit for Lampard, Ferdinand and Cole as he can.
I am not condoning it, im just saying its football. It’s what happens. Im quite old school and have heard far worse in the past. Back in the terraces it got nasty and cruel and any weakness would be jumped on. End of the day his obsession with the youth team just adds fuel to the fire. And to be honest the whole youth development has gone on far to fucking long.
I think it’s sick and very personal but if this was sang back when I used to stand we wouldn’t be talking about it now. Thanks to the internet and forums like this we all know about the sick songs people start.

FFS we sing about harry having a twitch after a fatal accident, that’s sick – but I love doing it! Don’t care if that makes me a c**t, im not alone when im at the match singing it. As soon as you get in a ground its different rules. Wouldn’t say it in the normal world mind as yeh it’s personal and nasty thing to do to another human.

That wasnt my point Hleb. I was trying to show that i am honest enough that the chants dont bother me and that i would join in a chant if it was putting down harry for example.
The other point i was making is that i feel that most of the chants now about Wenger are due to him signing so many kids rather than the original story back in 1996. When ever i talk to any scum fans i know or Manc fans they always joke about the fact he signs so many kids.

No I do not think Wenger brought those chants on himself. I will distance myself from that part of his comments.
I do think however that he is right with regards to every side having the odd non-PC chant and the fact that all clubs have got a special song or two in their locker for certain individuals.

Now I think you're being a bit disingenuous here mate. As one of the old school I think you know exactly where Mikey is coming from. I do. If twitchy (taking the piss out of a disability) had the same rep, there would be a lot (majority) of gooners singing the Paedo song. There were gooners doing the gas chamber noise 10 days ago.
Mikey is being honest and raising a serious point. In my day to day life I am pretty pc. But on a weekend when the blood is running I will be out of order. I have moved on, no racism, no homophobia (i don't join in the 1 man went to mow songs, but "he's a fucking arsehole" is fine by me. Footy is tribal and cruel and if we lose all of that it will be a sad day.
I sometimes go to matches with my cousin and he gets really irked with the "twitchers mum is a whore" type of chant and thinks that it is crosses the line.........me I have zero problem with it Like a few of the "older" fans I am more inclined to push the boundaries of tribal chanting than the "newer" breed of fan although I do draw the line at racist chanting. I think mikey made a pigs ear (as he has been known to do on occasions ) of what he initially tried to say if I am reading him correctly............we are all disgusted at the baseless paedo chants at wenger but are not naive enough to believe that we would behave any different if the boot was on the other foot

no because i remember it was the press that brought the issue of wenger and kids, and i should have put that point bettter, but im with mikey on the grounds of standing singing songs about the neighbours and been able to call them words that are banned from this forum.

I do not doubt that many Gooners would sign the paedophile song if it was another manager who was accused, but I would not, it is just too weird a subject.

Spurs might be known as the **** regardless whether their fans are Jewish or not, but it is a considerable and highly questionable jump from that chant to songs about gas chambers.

There is fine line when it comes to chants and some chants are worse than others. Some things are to harsh even for me and all my years of going Arsenal i wouldnt get involved with songs about Manure and the runway and songs about gas chambers, thats just out and out sick and a disgrace. I would sing a Peodo song if there was one about Harry or Fegie but thats just me. We all know its not true about Wenger , my point was simple but not i didnt explain clear enough. As i have joked about in the past regarding Wenger feeding the kids Calpol and Bananna antibiotics even Hleb laughed at that.
This is in a way a joke that is slightly crossing the line, but its football banter.
