whoever made that thread on the oatcake "I've never come across more hate filled fans" certainly touched a nerve. I don't think I've ever met more hypocritical fans.
Apparently we're a bunch of soft diving cheats- yet jermaine pennant is responsible for one of the worst and most clearest dives this season . Stoke were drawing 1-1 with villa and pennant dived to win a free kick. Stoke scored from it and won the game 2-1.
The media didn't even mention it.

Then you hear insults about our support . Apparently all our fans are armchair fans. Bit rich as we fill our 60,000 stadium almost every fortnight. 20 years ago stoke were playing in front of 5,000 fans at the generically named "Victoria Ground".

Don't get me started on the jibes about us being JCLs. We've been a succesful club since the early seventies, and were always competing for trophies and european football . A strange insult considering stoke had attendances on a par with port vale back in the mid nineties eh? JCL's? give me a break..

Yeah just read that oatcake stuff... unbelievable comments.

Love how Rambo never acknowledged Whelan's attempts to keep him calm when its clear as day in the papers today and before that he sent AND THE CLUB sent a personal message of thanks to the player.

Uneducated idiots some of them. But good to see a few of the Stoke fans defending Rambo and the incident though on there.

Would we 'gooners be as bad as that if it were one of our player who broke another players leg? I'd hope not.

Could be firey tomorrow...

Once and for all,there is shit posted on all sites by mindless idiots,I like the banter,nothing nasty. I said this before the run up to sunday on both sites. I hope RS AND AR shake hands like sportsmen should before a match and hopefully put it to bed. Yes I got put down by a few on both forums,but only a few for posting it but thats my opinion.

Appreciate what you are saying and it's brave coming on here, you've got some valid points...

In all fairness there's some horrific stuff on there. Comments about people chanting when Ramsey was stretchered off at your gaff in another post. Just looked a bit further in and most of the comments are from youngish lads, not excusing them I know but they are the keyboard mafia safe in their bedrooms waiting to be called for dinner.

Surely, it'll be a cheer or applause considering what the poor lad has been through, won't it?

Anyway, I hope they shake hands and get on with life. It was an accident even if it was an overly agressive challenge. You see them all the time in 5-a-side and 11-a-side games at all levels - a challenge designed to take the ball and the man. It's not a purely innocent tackle, but it goes without saying that Shawcross must have felt terrible that he broke Aaron's leg.

Just hope the game passes without incident, because I find this Stoke/Arsenal rivalry boring as shit

at least then, Hull went down and Phil Brown has now disappeared into League 1 with Preston... whereas Stoke and Pulis (who have had an impressive season) look like they might be here to stay.

I took the time to e-mail Sky about this forum. I asked that when they were fawning over Stoke and the dream journey to Wembley that the sentiments expressed by Stoke fans on this vile forum be taken into account. Why Stoke have some personal vendetta against us is beyond me. All the fans on the oatcake forum seem to think that Shawcross was treated badly after the incident. Tbh, he didnt even get close to what he deserved. The lad shouldn't be playing football. He is everything that is wrong with Premier League football nowadays.

You can't blame players for not wanting to play in this league when there's things like this happening far too often. Stoke fans genuinely think that Shawcross has been the victim in this. The "he's not that type of lad" bullshit gets played far too often. His track record would beg to differ.

For those who don't understand the Stokish langauge....mither (pronounced myther) means "bother". I cant be "mithered". Don't "mither" me. Etc.

They also have some other amusing words. Boke. As in "Don't boke me". Which means "Don't get in my way".

There is also a Potteries dialect.

"Coss kick a bow agen a woah till er bosts" is "Can you kick a ball against a wall all until it busts".

My first wife came from Stoke-on-Trent.

Enough of the trivia.

I hope that Stoke City v Arsenal will be a clean match.

I still have a big problem with Shawcross. And nobody will convince me that he is not a *word censored* of the highest order. He's already done our Aaron. And Francis Jeffers. And almost did Scott Parker recently.

And Pullis is the *word censored* who sends him out there to "pull the trigger".
