Re: Villa
What difference will it make if we do lose the last two games?piresistible wrote:so i take it you wont mind if we lose the next two games?Chippy wrote:Does anyone care?
Maybe City will catch us and we'll finish fourth. Which we all know is as good as a trophy.

Re: Villa
I will mind but not as much as giving away 4 goals at Newcastle, losing at home to the same team; losing at home to WBA and the scum, losing the CCup final, loads of draws when we should be challenging for the title etc. etc.piresistible wrote:so i take it you wont mind if we lose the next two games?Chippy wrote:Does anyone care?
As some have said above a couple of good results in the last 2 games would give AW the excuse to say we are "only a few percent behind.
Being totally honest I hope that this match finishes either 0-0 or that a villa win - tbh I have no real faith in many of the *word censored* that attend matches in the grove nowadays and as a result I think any kind of a win will spare the players the stick they deserve from the crowd. Can you imagine the grief they would get if they have another 0-0 at home or if the poorest villa team for years actually beats them at home ? The place might be burnt down if that happened.
On a serious level I really cannot see villa taking anything from this game. As I said already, this villa team is as poor a villa side seen for many years although maybe their players might lift the efforts in the absense of the much malligned houllier. If cesc plays I cannot see anything other than a home win as I think that he will drive them on to win the last home game of the season but without him I am not really sure who will push the team on especially if we dont get ahead early.
It's funny that villa are facing the same scenario we are likely to face this summer - villa winger ashley young is entering the last year of his contract and is showing no sign of extending his contract and we of course are facing the same scenario with nasri. Personally I would be quite happy signing young to replace nasri though doubtless there will be many that will disagree

Not me mate. I've been saying all year that Young would be a perfect addition. He's got the pace, more end product than Walcott or Rosicky as a wide man, and has been doing it in the Premership for a few years now.augie wrote:Being totally honest I hope that this match finishes either 0-0 or that a villa win - tbh I have no real faith in many of the c**ts that attend matches in the grove nowadays and as a result I think any kind of a win will spare the players the stick they deserve from the crowd. More importantly he's entering the last year of his contract and is an Arsenal fan

So Mr. GIC wouldn't you agree that an international player, who supports the club from childhood and is in his last contract year.......is "available".
I'll remember this one when we hear the usual weasel-words on 1st Sept about "nobody available at the right price"

My dad took me to my first game at highbury in 95 and until now has always been the most annoyingly positive gooner, shows how shit weve been that even hes given up defending the team. Still least ive got someone to have a good moan with

Mines got to the stage where the follow through is a distinct possibility

So he trys to stick to non gas/fluid related tricks to avoid the old anal seepage trick.
Not going to the game tomorrow but that pretty much sums up my dad. Problem with him is that he's still annoyingly postive.BournemouthRED wrote:the only thing im looking forward to the game 2moro purely as im taking my old man, we only go to a few games together a season so its always a good day out.

I am also taking my Dad!
He used to go home and away in the seventies, but has been ill for many years. Took him to the FA cup game against Huddersfield which was his first game since the 79 cup final and he balled his eyes out when the teams came out! It made me have a tear.
He made me promise that I would take him a few times a year.
So regardless of the circumstances tomorrow, it will be a great day for me and my Dad.
He is still such a proud gooner.
