Sometimes people just want to talk about football and football players, that's all I'm saying.

If there was a thread called "The Board is Shite" it is unlikely anyone would post a reply along the lines of "we should play 4-4-2". Likewise, if there is a thread about on-field issues we don't always need to go off on a tangent about the board (on the phone so no emoticons but "wink").

As I said earlier, sometimes less is more. More people might read more of your theories if you took this approace. Anyway it's just a thought.

Well thank you. But I think you are acting on perception rather than than reality, a perception fueled by by a a disagreement with my views.

I could point out dozens of examples of humour both actual and attempted (even I drop the odd clanger in fact they aren't all that odd unfortunately ), and i could say you could review my posts to prove this but I wouldn't expect you to do that because it wouldn't serve your preconceived notion about who and what I am, which is based on your umbrage at my criticisng the Board as much as I do.

Maybe if we all had taken this as seriously even obsessively if you like as I do, Arsenal wouldn''t be trophyless for six years now with next year looking like a step backward far more than a step forward right now.

You shouldn't even joke about such things because I'll bet its happened to you at soome point some where in some discussion and that you didn't appreciate it one bit then, just as i don't now.

Though what I really don't appreciate is how my words are mis-represented and even ignored by those who feel such great need to criticize them then expect me to take their words 100% seriously and to never impugn them or their motives they way they do me based on things I never actually said or they never actually read.

However, what really fucks me off is people mis-representing my views and ignoring my posts. They then think they have the right, after misrepresenting me in the first place, to trash what i say and never expect me to apply the same treatment back to them.

It mightn't be a bad idea. We may have to look at asking Rob or Kev if it is possible to limit the number of words/characters per post as some of these fucking Board posts are just getting out of hand. Unfortunately I think it would have to be across the whole forum and not just USMartin's posts because that would be censoring him and I can't support singling one person out for censoring (even if that person is the main culprit!).

Also, my freedom of expression nerve is tingling like a spastic cat on a hot iron at the thought of it. But fuck me, we need to do something.
