Good Riddance, Denilson makes transfer request.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That must up his transfer fee by a few quid surely? Feck me!! Perhaps Denilson was right and it's Arsenal that have been holding him back from becoming the great player and winner he so obviously is? :?

The funny thing is he was fucking awful in that Wigan game & i'm sure I remember him being jeered from the field when he was subbed

The worst player i've ever seen at Arsenal in 30 odd years. Worse than Ray Hankin and John Hawley! Worse than David Hillier!
How did he ever manage to play in the premier League let alone Arsenal.

Reminds me of "George Weahs cousin" signed by Southampton on the hearsay of his agent!!
Only played 10mins for the club after going on as sub before being taken off again when they realised they'd been sold a dud.
Agree with this. He's the worst I've seen in Arsenal shirt without a doubt, when you take into account the level of talent, attitude, commitment, etc. He really is as bad as it gets.

But fair play to him, he's managed something no one has been able to in the last 15 years - get Webger to sub a player off at half time!

If he made his mind up to go 8 months ago why the fuck didn't he tell Wenger then and we could have been rid of him quicker ! Couldn't of course be the fact that the wages he trousers for doing nothing at Arsenal will dwarf the salary he might get at those European giants of Genoa or Malaga .
If a top team buys him i shall very very very surprised.

As much as i agree he's not good enough for us...i can't agree that he is anywhere near the worst player we have had, in fact he is not even the worst in our first team squad...and if you go back to the nineties and compare him to the likes of Selley, Hillier, Jensen and a number of others Denilson would be like Pele in comparison...

Really  ...not for me i think the three of them were embarrassingly limited...Denilson may not be good enough for us, but he would be for the likes of Bolton or Stoke and other mid to lower Premiership teams, but the likes of Selley and Hillier were playing at least a division above their true level whilst playing for us...even looking back nearly 20 years on i still can't believe those clowns were in our first team...

he is back in brazil indeed mate, working on some social programs to donate food to the poor. he'll surely go back to pick his stuff up, but his agent told us he won't be an arsenal player for the next season unless no one makes any bid for him at all, which is not probable (even considering the huge pile of shit that he is).

so i guess yes, we can be pretty much sure that he won't be wearing the sacred shirt next season :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
