Andre Santos

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Totally agree. I guess the people who keep saying I am a WUM are the same people who thought I was a WUM when I said that this team could challenge for the top 4.

He's certainly not a flop, and some people, as always, have gone overboard. He's great going forward and when he's actually in position he's a very good tackler. He just needs to be calmed down slightly when running forward.

At 28, people should not be having to 'give a defender time' to learn how to get his positioning right, to learn how to not fly into tackles and msot of all, to not be such a rotund fucker who ate all the strawberry glaze krispy kremes!!!

I remember the days when people used to wax lyrical about Wenger's approach to diets in football, how he revolutionised the culture, and I remember the pure athletes we had at Arsenal like Vieira, Henry, Ljungberg, Cashley etc....

Now, I am watching Santos and Arshavin fighting over the last donut, in between watching Denilson being overtaken by the ref as Rooney rinses us out again. LOL.

I find it incredible that a so-called elite professional athlete can be such a fat fuck. Out of breath after 20 minutes of a game? Overtaken by the linesman??? (when Sturridge ran past him)? This some sort of joke?

He is 28. If he was 20 I would understand the 'give him time'. He doesn't need time. He can't position himself right, he doesn't know when to stand on his feet and when not to dive in on a tackle.

I like the lad because he is a Brazilian and I like Brazilian ballers but bloody hell, Arsene Wenger (along with Redknapp) is one of the only managers I have ever known who could sign two Brazilians:

One with sod all flair or skill (Denilson)
Another with absolutely sod all fitness in the prime of his career (Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho etc all put on weight AFTER they had smashed it!)

Someone get this man a rack of lamb please....

LOL

And sadly not even a good one at that. You have to do better than blatantly slate Arteta and praise Fatboy Slim as being "world class" for most of us.

I bet he's ironing his Spurs shirt as we speak....

My opinion remains the same. He was sucking air up through his anus after 10 mins today and telling the ballboy not to return the ball so quickly.

Kieran, please hurry up and get your boots back on son

I thought he did alright yesterday, like the way he was encouraging the oncoming subs and saying well done to those going off, seems good for team spirit.

I think he may turn out alright once he adapts to the league, he's a likable player that's for sure.

He waved to the crowd at the end, that was the difference between a 6/10 to a 7/10.

Encouraging oncoming subs, saying well done to those going off and waving to the crowd..thats a skill set thats hard to match....

Just imagine if he could actually move quicker than a snail and play better than a pub player, he'd be an Arsenal legend for sure... :D

maybe the old Eboue chant of "only come to see Eboue" can be used for this guy in future. Most entertaining player I have seen for ages.
