If mancini had not tightened the game up at half time then they wouldn't have got a single foothold in the game and it would have got embarrassing. Unlike Wenger, mancini understands that attacking and scoring goals comes from being stable defensively.
At 2-2 with 10 odd minutes to go he brought off Nasri (who was poor), and Hargreaves came on. At that point City were looking strong so it didn't seem a positive substitution, as Hargreaves isnt going to bring much of an attacking threat.
Bringing on Hargreaves allowed them to push their most creative player, Milner, further forward.

Best striker in the world is obviously too good to play against little old Peterborough. Not even on the bench today.

How an earth does Middlesbrough get ball number 1?
Saw yesterday that the numbers had been allocated before a ball was kicked. Assume this was drawn as well.

He's on a season long loan so that clause won't be in there.

"it's not the clauses Steve, it's the crapness"

NB52 is too good to play against lowly Peterborough so in the true spirit of the cup Sunderland have agreed not to play him!

The FA should thank the lord for the Shitty/Manure game as it's been a terrible w'end for FA cup games no giant killings of any worth....Wigan doesn't count as I can't remember the last time Martinez bothered with a cup game.

Hoping for crawley town, stevenage or sheffield wednesday all away in 4th round draw.

Crawley is only 30 mins away from me and stevenage is an easy enough place to get to. Sheffield wed cos I've never been hillsborough

Any thoughts on who you want if we get through to the next round. Crawley would be fun, but we're pretty much certain to be away to Manure, the Chavs or the scum.
