Some of the pre-meditated abuse of him on here proves to me he'll never be given a chance in some quarters because he's "not Cesc". Just like Diaby was never given a chance because he's "not Vieira"
The guy has played every league game since he arrived and been the best midfielder in just about every one of them. He has showed Song up for the laughing stock that he really is, and is a better player than Ramsey will ever be (and that's not a dig at Ramsey).
Just watch the GIC keep Song in the team and then perm 2 from the other 3 when Wilshere's back, proving once and for all he's as tactically adept as Graham Taylor
No argument from me about Arteta .. he is doing well the job he was brought for .. the same role he did for everton and he is no Cesc ..
But to say that Diaby was never given a chance ? .. Are you serious ? 100+ games for the club .. even more games that Good Old Denilson (bless him) ..

I'm perfectly serious. When he first arrived at the club people liked him. He was one of the brightest young talents in Europe and I remember him scoring at home to Villa in one of his first games and we had a real prospect on our hands. Then that no-mark at Sunderland shattered his ankle with that fucking awful injury and the guy has been blighted by injuries ever since - not his fault.
When he did get a decent run in the centre of midfield - his best position - he weighed in with some decent goals and I still think he's the most creative player at the club. But as is the GIC's want he stuck him out wide on the left for a couple of years and watched his confidence and form go out of the window. Funny enough he took Arshavin and did the same thing and also as I recall the start of Chamakh and Bendtner's demise began when we insisted on 4-5-1 with these players stuck out wide
