Arsenal v Norwich

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

was pretty funny actually

also your miseryguts 'guarantees' of specific opposition goals would be funny if you actually backed yourself
but its all just talk

i just hope we dont throw it away. This has to be a big win, no waiting until injury time with a song through ball.

Win big so we are up for wb

I think you'll find I pretty much went out on a limb and backed Barcelona to get knocked out of the CL after the first leg at the Bridge; something that Red Member and others (possibly you....I can't be arsed to look) of a like mind found ridiculous to contemplate seeing as Match magazine had informed them that 'well wicked geezer Messi wiv all the tekkers' was gonna score a hat-trick.

I seem to recall predicting Crouch's header in the first 10 minutes. Isn't that called backing yourself

And I've predicted Holt will score if he plays.

And your call is.....??

hmm not quite
you actually said
SteveO 35 wrote:Grant Holt is guaranteed a headed goal in this one
guaranteed is a wee bit stronger than predicted
and you specified a header, he is a lump but he doesn't only score headers

you also said the result would be
SteveO 35 wrote:a laboured draw like Wolves at home over Xmas
can't see that personally
(although I did expect Barca to win and Messi to score)
SteveO 35 wrote:And your call is.....??
my call is: Arsenal to win by at least a couple of goals

and when I say backing yourself I mean an actual wager - money or a forfeit

I won't be posting any pictures of myself Mr **** style if that's what you mean :D

I don't really gamble these days but I've never been too proud to say I was wrong, so will happily buy you a pint or tipple of your choice next season if I'm wrong. See, I'm not a 'miseryguts' all the time :barscarf:

Do people normally go to the pubs around the stadium after the last home game of the season? I don't really know what we would be celebrating to be honest

weird POV but - I think one of our biggest problems has been complacency
surely, with tonights results + our last few games, that simply can't be the case...
