Season ticket waiting list and prices

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I need to write to try to keep my away points, is this what everyone else had to do?
Jim, What do you mean by having to write to keep your away points? :?

George Knows....... there were over 4000 non club season tickets not renewed which is a record

The club however don't give a shit as all have been bought by others who will no doubt also spend in the shops a bit more and bring fresh faces etc etc. the waiting list continues to have as many going on as come off so as i said they don't give a shit.

Club level is sold out as much as they want it to be - they always hold back some in the east centre to sell with meals in the WM restaurant as the 4 or 5 big games and 1 CL can generate as much as selling it as seat only.

Diamond Club with only 168 seats has a long waiting list.

The only weak spot is box level with at least 12 available for sale but even then, game by game selling of MU CHELSKI SCUM etc means some can sit empty for Blackburn and Swansea and it don't matter

Boxes are sold on a minimum 3 year contract, normally maximum 5 and deals can be done if you win and want to pay upfront- good luck

Well George Knows...what!

The fans on the waiting list have been there for the last 7-12 years and have also seen this barren period but are willing to party with their hard earned cash ( in tough times ) yeah the club is taking the piss but the fans are still supporters and follow the club through thick and thin. So think before you say that the newer ST holder "don't give a sh1t"

Vented!!!!

When will people learn that Arsenal Football club is a franchise and is and will in future always be one.
In the US many franchise have teams that suffer from low Owner re-investment when it comes to players ,but they continue to make money without winning anything .
Arsenal is no different,we are based in the nations capital with easy access to the nations financial districts so the corporate clowns will continue to pump money into the club .
If fans do not renew then tourists will fill their places and spend more money in the shops on branded goods .

Stan Kroenke has overpaid for his shares and will not put another cent into the club ,he bought the club because he saw an upside in media revenue streams and has already seen the massive increase in TV rights that BT will pay so don't expect him to sell up unless Usmanov or some other sugar daddy pays him very big bucks .

It is clear in my mind that Wenger has been starved of cash since 2006 so we cannot place all the blame on him however his lack of defensive coaching, over reliance on a single system, and loyalty to mercenary shits on the pitch and in the boardroom convince me that we will never win another trophy at our club whilst he remains as he has become part of the problem not the solution.

The way forward is unclear perhaps someone will ride in on the white horse and save us but until the supporters get of their arses and take direct action mediocrity will be the norm for the next 20 years.
Problem is the supporters are divided, some feel there inst a problem some blame Wenger some blame the board.

The clubs financial model relies on being able to buy young talent and sell it on at a vast profit whilst qualifying for Chumps League football ,but how long we can continue to attract people if we constantly sell our best players and not replace them, that remains to be seen.

but until the supporters get of their arses and take direct action

Great in theory but this isn't an EIE ambush ,this is as you say ,is the big corporate modern day world and we have all been over this ground hundreds of blogs replies and comments and suggestions but so frustrating for all and we are reliant on the white horse ( usmanov favourite of course) or a white black green orange knight or martian appearing and de stabilising assassinating or buying out Kroenke, that's it.

We can all march, wave flags, not go ,not renew, turn our backs but as outlined with the tickets sales in general , THEY DONT GIVE A SHIT.

We all try to do our little piece of a very large puzzle but sadly we are locked in a shareholder battle with a captive audience and the likes of Marks & Spencer, Virgin, Tesco etc would not find it easy either but at least their customers can go elsewhere and perhaps not be replaced with as you said, tourists and or others on waiting lists trying to capitalise on the ones that have had enough.

At the moment mate they haven't done anything ,but I'm sure if there was an invasion of the directors box ,a ripping up of seats or a full scale pitch invasion it might help concentrate the minds !

Boycotting will fail for the reasons stated, they will simply fill up the remaining seats with tourists !

Thats fine and well georgeknows, but the modern day Arsenal are also very much a pr driven club and scenes of dissent in the camp certainly does not help that and all you have to do is look at the reaction to usmanov's letter to see proof of that - the letter in it's own right wont have unduly concerned the board cos usmanov is basically powerless at the mo but the reaction amongst the media and fans have labelled the club as one in crisis and no owner or board member wants to see their company (note I refer to AFC as a company not a football club :x ) dragged through the mire this way.

I may be naive in this but I believe that the fans have a big part to play in this too - I believe that there is a huge percentage of Gooners opposed to kroenke (leaving wenger out of it for now) and would be willing to show their dissatisfaction at a protest. Trouble is that most of them havent the balls to organise such a protest but I would hope that they would turn up in support if somebody else organised it - football fans are very much like trade union members sometimes in that they would support a protest if they felt that the majority wanted to such a protest and they would be less inclined to oppose it for fear of crossing the picket line. My hope is that if things remain in it's current state (or god forbid be even worse) come the first game of the season the fans will be outraged enough to vent their feelings and show this american leeching c**t what we think of him

Augie,

You have to be patient but that is exactly what Usmanovs letter was about which i have said before publicly and privately to others.

The campaign has now been started by the Red & White camp and in a way will be led by it.

The letter was partly done to stimulate a somewhat dormant sector of individuals to start thinking positively about our club and the way forward, hopefully at ground level. They are aware of the fors and against sections but are now trying to reach our to the unsure also.

The high price season tickets must portray value for money ,and encourage a family approach towards wanting to see those star players moving towards silverware .

What is interesting is that this topic has ended up talking about the same subject as my ' summer signing' one in may because all our thoughts and efforts on any aspect of supporting our beloved team end up with the same conclusion every time, we need change, end of.

Not sure what yet but i think the perfect game for ACTION and not fcukin RED ( although Usmanov will laugh when they do back him )is Chelsea at home end of September and thats what all should start thinking about maybe doing different things on.

It is against Chelski, Usmanov is likely to be there and is our last home league game before the AGM in October......

Dont think the list is 60k. I joined last month as was fed up having to mess about getting tickets, being all over the ground and getting told to sit down every 5 mins by stewards if i wasnt in NB lower...im 33,270 on the list.
Also got a 990 ticket in block 9 off of a mate who wasnt going to renew it...by the sounds of this thread the way its going it wont be long before i get offered one by the club!!!
