Welcome to The Arsenal, Olivier Giroud

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Can't believe we have made two signings and it's not even July yet. Hope they adapt to premier league football quickly

Claims to have snubbed the chavs for us. One more reason to like him.

Serious question, continuing the tone of this thread I saw a gif of Giroud getting his french fry out in the changing room, can I post it? :rubchin:

He's the french equivalent of Grant Holt, albeit 6 years younger. Definitely different to our usual strikers as he's built like a shithouse and isn't afraid to put a shift in.

Wright was a late bloomer too so dunno if he'll work out but the Chamakh comparisons are redundant, totally different style of player that may help to correct the widely held opinion that we can be bullied.

Lets let the guy pull on the red and white shirt and play a couple of games before we all start comparing him to that footballing abortion known as Chamakh.

As said, he's built like a fucking tank for a striker and he's my heightish.

From what I've seen of him, he loves to put a shift in, gets stuck in with tackles and he's a good finisher.

Lets wait and see.

For anyone still unsure what the guy does just youtube his name and even from watching his highlights reel you'll see he's got more about him than Chamakh.

The oily-haired wastrel was always more of a link man who, apparently, was decent in the air. Giroud can definitely score but obviously the jury's out as to if he can do it for us.
