Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Cant agree with that .Zidane Ronaldinho Henry Ronaldo and Messi have Player of the year titles coming out of their ears. But they all have Domestic titles and The CL winners medals.FFS Bale and Parker won Player of the year trophies last season

Look at gimps like Carrick and Rafael, their medals mean nothing compared to Robin's achievement.

maybe you can save RVP the pressure of taking any decisions at all
why bother picking out your future, your dreams, your wage demands, your home or what you're going to wear tomorrow
we have the telepath soothsayer squad right here at Goon2Goon to tell you not only what you should do
but even what you will do

Why is everyone so obssessed with RVP's family. How many players have wives and kids? A big proportion of them i guess but they think nothing of going elsewhere when the offer comes in or they think they've achieved all they can. Lets face it RVP could well go back to Holland when he retires and his kids will still be of a school age so that isnt a concern for them at all. Money can buy you many things including the best schooling
Its because he's said it is an important factor in his decision. It comes massively into it. Uping and moving brings a lot of problems, its not strightforward.

 Didn't think it was. This fella was too young. Was with a Dinosaur, Flash Gordon and Spiderman.

I've got to say that yesterday was one of the best away games I've ever been to. Really good support before and after, good atmosphere, great weather and a great result. Was great to be a gooner.

Oh, when the wheels come falling off..... :barscarf:

We were behind the goal. We're all in the shot on MOTD when Fulop mis-punches for our winner. 8)

He has always been open about how his family will play an important factor in his decision.

As for the school comment, he has stated that his kids do not go to an international school, just a normal British school. Believe me, money doesn't always buy the best schooling, just the best connections.

The plot thickens. Go to 6.04. The woman at the top waving stood on her seat with the Arsenal shirt on is apparently RVP's wife Bouchra. Is this why he was looking at the crowd for so long? :rubchin:
