Charlie was the scapegoat for the ailing and aging Arsenal side that should have been broken up in 72/73 .
He didn't want to go to Spurs but was being bundled up the road by Mee who didn't like his attitude.
Alan Ball almost single handedly saved us from the Awful prospect of relegation !

I loved Charlie and he is still my hero,had some hard times after he quit football ,bought a pub in Hampshire with his ,and then his missus ran off with the Barman !
Had a Garage for a while off the cally which I think also failed then he was on his uppers before being employed in a club off Liverpool road called appropriately Rileys for a number of years .

I agree very few footballers view the club the way the fans do. Especially now days. But if they mouth off in the press about how they love the club, or have been a lifelong fan then they set themselves up for abuse/hatred when they leave/betray the club.

I agree Greedywhore is not really valid on that list because he meant nothing to us really apart from he rubbed it in after scoring for Citeh.

But Cuntley and VanJudas? They mouthed off about being Gooners, not just Gunners. And added to that they both left the club in a shit manner after the club had made Cuntley the player he was and tolerated VanJudas' injury holidays year after year. They are both disloyal judas scum. Fuck them.

And no, Babs I cannot really be pragmatic about this tbh. As I said on the Cuntley thread, it's an emotional game and I can't pretend I don't despise these pair of pricks.
