We're a lost cause have too much of a global fanbase that we will always or be close to selling out every game, fair play to city fans who wont pay that stupid price cant say the same for our fans who have made this game basically a sell out.

No other fans in the country would put up with the ticket pricing at the corporate bowl. Only Arsenal fans are happy to get mugged off.

Don't agree. There have been a number of matches at the Grove over the past couple of years that haven't sold out so I don't think it's inevitable that the global fan base will automatically take up all the slack if fans started to boycott matches. :rubchin:

Factor in the costs of the transportation to get to the Emirates and the 'global fans' face even higher ticket prices.

I don't think the "global fan base" market waiting for tickets is that significant to make up many empty seats.

City have NEVER come to Highbury in numbers even when u could ,whilst the price is a rip off I doubt if they would have filled it if it had been 40 quid a ticket due to it being on the Box and on a Sunday .

It's an excuse,end of !

At some point the whole shithouse is gonna come down in flames about the owners, boards, managers and players of these money printing machines....(Prem Clubs).

What also pisses me off is that WEalcott now looks like he is going to sign a new deal /contract with The Arsenal for £25 mill for 4 - 5 years. The thing is when asked in recent interviews he has totally bottled it - In his usual limp fucking wristed fay way 'Oh I'm just going to concentrate on my game and keep playing football and let my people sort all this'

A) If you are so concentrated and focused on your football ya fucking gimp why Oh! Why!?: are you so inconsistent - you score a brace of goals every 4 or 5 games - which then gets many people/fans hoping and thinking maybe he's finally turned that corner we've been waiting for him to these past 5 years!!!

B) I'd have more respect for him if he would 'Man Up' in one of those interviews and say ' I think I am worth more money than I am getting paid at present and so until that is sorted or another club comes in for me willing to pay me £5mill a season I'll play my football as best I can' ....Yes, I know I'm dreaming to ever think ANY (Even ONE!) of todays hundreds of overpaid prima-donna's Prem Players have the guts, balls to 'Man Up' and put their over coiffed barnets above the parapet and admit they're a bunch of money grabbing *word censored*!!??...I'd at least then have a bit of resepct for their honesty...instead of all this hiding behind agents and nice speak for the camera's.

I know it is NOT just walnutt, but - It makes me wanna punch them all in the fucking throat.

Edit: Many of them (Players) may be very gifted individuals with a 'football'....But they are a) Doing what most of us would do for next to nothing and b) they are destroying the game we all 'Love' - because of their incessant greed - Sky TV, Club Owners, Agents, Managers, Players.....ALL "GUILTY".

Well how are The Arsenal gonna pay their big Wages for Wenger and Co. I think £ 62 is a fair price for a game that is live on TV :-P

Fairplay to Man City Fans, compare ticket prices in the Bundesliga and The English Premier League. :rubchin:

Fans need to Boycott Football untill matchday tickets come down to a reasonable price :cussing:

Yes spot on there...Speaking from experience of traveling from Dublin to London for games you tend to count it as a package i.e. flights, hotel and match tickets..you are aware of the individual price of each but try to console yourself that you got flights cheap so you can "afford" that bit extra for match ticket. Because of that the prices won't drop.
From the club's perspective a traveling fan(tourist) will pay that bit extra and spend that bit extra in the club shops..win win for AFC.
£62 for any game is too much, I would gladly pay it for a Champions League Final or FA Cup Final but a league game regardless of the opposition is mad. Another benefit of tourist fans for the club is it cuts down on dissent in the stadium. Tourist fans are less likely to carry "Wenger Out" banners. My last two Arsenal games to attend were away games in North of England..last one was Wigan pre Christmas at the DW Stadium. £25 for match ticket , £3.90 train fare from Manchester Airport to Wigan and £1.90 for a pint in Wigan. flights also cheaper unless you are flying into Manchester when Utd are home or Liverpool when the Victims are home.

Well exactly. When the Arsenal FC not Plc thing was being set-up I said to Quartz and the others that I didn't think lowering ticket prices was a good point to include because on one hand fans demand CL football and say we should be paying the likes of RvP 150k per week, and on the other saying they expect admission prices to be £25-£30. The maths simply don't work.

The issue at the moment of course is that fans are largely sticking to their side of the bargain by paying top prices but the American and his chums are not keeping to theirs i.e by reinvesting the money to a) keep our very best players during their peak years and b) attracting one or two new ones every year, to ensure we are competing for all major trophies.

Personally I think £60 or so is the going rate to watch top quality, category A football. If we were playing the sort of breathtaking football we played in the 1998-2004 period I don't see a problem. These days I liken the pace of football and excitement factor on the same level as an England friendly against some second raters.....and you get in to those for £30 or so.

If we drop out of the CL the club will need to have a major rethink because thankfully the daytrippers will be choosing weekends in Manchester or at Stamford Bridge instead and the old school will not pay grade A prices for grade C shite

If we drop out of the Champions league we will lose the last few good players. I couldn't believe it yesterday when i went on the club website and saw how many games were not sold out to members (this used to be within days of release even several months ago). It is too expensive and if it is on the TV i am staying at home.

Really? We have been steadily losing them even when we're in the European Cup so i really don't see us losing more if we don't make it and im not even sure we have a good FEW players left :?

not been in the champions league is a big smokescreen used by wenger to frighten supporters :? we have lost every good player we have in the last 7-8 seasons and by coincidence we were also in the champions league
plus doesn't seem to stop players signing for other clubs like spu*s does it :?:
