Brighton Away Tix travel pubs etc

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

As a mere bond holder/Season ticket holder who has not managed an away game for a bit unfortunately i do not have 'the priveleges' to attend this game which is frustrating as I live in BRighton!!!!!

Re the pubs avoid thedesignated away pubs (Central and Bell) as they are bland. The best are

- Evening Star.Bear right out of pub go past the Bell and the Star is on you left.
- Prince Albert . Bear right out of station then take first left immediately infront of station and follow under the bridge.Pub on your right.
- Nelson. Further down the road where the Albert is and on your right.
- Battle Of Trafalgar. Right out of station. Over Zebra turn left then first right.Pub 20 yards up the hill on your right.

All the above are proper traditional pubs (nothing artificial) and a wide range of Real Ales is supplemented by good quality Premium Lagers (thats more like it).

My son is a season ticket holder at Brighton but has been to Arsenal many times and tells me he really wants them to win so at least I will have some representation there!!

Save your town centre pubs til after the game as the ones close to the station are actually the proper pubs and far more convenient in terms of drinking time and leaving slightly later to get to the ground.

Anyone with a spare please let me know even if you only know about it on the day!!

I may pop into the Star myself at lunchtime and could bring a few of the badges with me!!!
Come on you Gooners.

Anyone on here ever bought a ticket off a tout. I'd rathet not but with 4days to go chances of getting one normall are pretty slim. Anyone think there'll be any spares about on Saturday.

Try going up to one 5 minutes after kick off, occasionally they will have spares that they'll sell for face/under face as a last resort.

I remember walking out of Millwall after a last min Merse winner (maybe Adams fouled Keller a bit)
desperately trying to disguise my grin

Post kick off tickets may well be your best chance,
decided if you're willing/able to sit with home fans?

Hard to tell (as nobody was speaking to you sweetie) it's a wee bit sad resenting others having a good time

I'm psyched for Brightonia, should be a legendary away day,
feels like everybody is going...
Aiming to drink their pubs dry, burn their pier down to the sea, smash their pebbles into sand
and hopefully see us win a football game
COMEONYOURIPROARINGREDS
I fucking hate the term psyched :x :x :x :x

Apart from that enjoy your trip everyone

If I can't get a spare beforehand I imagine this is what I will be doing, you going in a group or on your own mate?

More than likely on my own. Trying to persuade my mate but doesn't rate our chances. I'm still going.

Nice one, going with a group but they've all got tickets so good to hear I may not be the only one hunting for a pub to watch it in. Hope you pick one up mate.
