As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No we won't sadly because we'll lose the next 2 and probably end up with an AA23 type panic buy that'll drag them into 6th
Just a sobering thought, the rapist transfer will probably go down as the worst bit of business in a very long time between 2 top team.
We will not compete at the top of the league again. Watching Giroud labour up front, then seeing the rapist put that chance away felt like the final nail in the coffin for this season.
Leeds have been waiting 20 years for a worse piece of business than selling Cantona. Their prayers have been answered

To be honest till the last few games most scum fans have thought he was utter shite and his one on one with DeGea was v.poor but fair play they kept the pressure on and they didn't have Giroud wasting chances up front.

Yes...plus one cost £6m and the other €14m. What is the right price these days?

One had 12months left on his contract and one was a new signing. One has had 5 seasons ( think it's that much) the other was playing Ligue 2 2yrs ago. I don't think he is that bad just in the wrong team. In a team with proper wingers I think he would score more goals. The clamour for NB52 is embarassing. Have we all forgotten how many chances that clown wasted as well.
Giroud will only work in a 4-5-1with proper wingers or at home in an actual 4-4-2 with Poldi/Walnutt up front with him. If the manager f'ed off tomorrow(we wish) as well as a defence coaching, the rigid stupid 4-3-3 system would be dumped for a more flexible system.
I don't agree TG. I'm not convinced at all that his aerial ability is as good as is made out, and his movement is never going to be good enough to play up front on his own effectively regardless of wingers. Think we might have more joy if he played up front with Walcott (although I'd rather Podolski), but he would still be limited to flick ons and the occasional nice lay-off or flick.
He just has absolutely no composure or confidence in front of goal, no system will change that.
Neville and redcrapp seemed to be disagreeing over everything in the studio after the scum v manure game You can clearly see what little respect Neville has for the son of twitcher

He has scored some decent goals. His composure is directly linked to his confidence. Goals scored leads to confidence, a more confident player is more composed in front of goal. He is no rapist but we all thought the rapist was the best only third to Messi and Falcao as an out an out striker(Don't really consider Ronaldo a striker).
I think he is an ok striker but not good enough for a top 4 team but we aren't a top 4 team anymore. I just think with a different manager he could get more goals.
Oh how the mighty have fallen. A few years ago I used to bollock you guys who were obsessed with the scum. "we're so much better than them, manure are our rivals." Today I was reduced to hoping for manure to tonk the scum to give us a chance to catch up. FFS, Arsene just fuck off now.

Still here mate, tend to have a read of the board most days but will need to start posting a bit more regularly, just been a bit busy recently
I think we should bring back the NB52 thread. God knows I'd rather have him then the Clown Prince of Montpellier up front. Can you loan us Fraizer Campbell too.....I'd rather have him
I've deliberately steered away from the NB52 thread before I outlive me welcome on the forum
Still love Bendy like, gutted that it hasn't worked out for him at Juventus, would be class if he ended up back at Sunderland (much though I know he'll end up at a CL club). I wish Arsenal wanted Campbell, I'd drive the useless fucker there meself (he's a nice lad like, just a fucking hopeless footballer!)

He has had countless good crosses delivered straight to him in recent weeks, in particular from Gibbs side of the field and he's fucked every one of them. Sick of hearing excuses made for him about the system, the service, the players around him. Walcott weighted that pass perfectly for him today, Gibbs stuck one plum onto his 50 pence bonce at the Liberty, in the home replay he had 2 good chances in the first 20 minutes (one on his right peg, one on his head). He didn't convert any of them and they were all perfectly decent chances. Its not like the Norwich or Schalke games where we created nothing at all. The bloke has had endless chances and fucked most of them. Not good enough by a mile
Him shooting today at the end from 40-odd yards when we had players and space ahead of him was just fucking ridiculous. If he can't score from 6-12 yards he ain't gonna score from there.

I actually laughed when he did that but Cazorla just looked at him as if to say "you utterly useless *word censored*"
