Any known trouble makers will have their passports removed, be under watch...violence around major events are dead in and around events like this..
Are you having a laugh? Who will take their passports, stop them travelling or follow them? The Turkish police? I see you say that you lived in Turkey for a month(holiday?) but I take it you had no dealings with the Turkish police? I have. They are useless. They will not give a flying fc*k who travels over here. It is not there problem. Our police spend millions combating football violence and stopping trouble makers travelling abroad. The Turkish police will probably be happy to get shot of their thug supporters for a few days!!

That is not to say things do not happen, but do you not think the Turkish "crew" would think twice about coming away to a friendly game when they will be severely outnumbered? It is for the English based Turks, and they deserve it frankly, i lived in Turkey for a month and most are passionate supporters for their team just like us - and they warned me Andros Santos was shit

Outnumbered? yeah I bet the football thugs will be shitting themselves at the thought of all the sheep and tourists who will be attending the game. Our home support has a fearsome reputation to protect amid the red hot atmosphere within the cauldron

Im proud of the fact we are a club of class, and frankly to me this a sign that whatever happened in the past, we do not tarnish people with the same brush and we welcome them all to what i'm sure will be a fun weekend - football being an undercard
How about we have a whip around and get you a few quid together so you can have a beer or two with a group of the travelling fans. Maybe after a day in their company you could come back and tell us about your experiences? Maybe then you might understand some of the views on here. When I went to Euro 2000 we spent two weeks trying to avoid getting killed by gangs of local Turkish lads in Amsterdam and Charleroi jumping out of cars on small groups of English lads using things like hammers (granted, I cannot tell you which club they supported as I was too quick on my toes).
I was thinking of taking my boys to the tournament this year as they are both very young and it would be a convenient and safe game to take them too. However if Galatasaray are taking part then I won't risk it.
