There is a fuss because the stadium holds 90,000! And this means some fans who arguably have a reasonable expectation to get a ticket wont.Gunner Rob wrote:I don't know what all the fuss is about over the allocation.
it is 25,000 for each team every year - City fans moaned last year and Liverpool (they would!) the year before that.
it is pathetic from Gazidis to criticise the FA as he is on the FA council!

If not, then do you think it's fair that a club of our size is only allocated 25,000 and there will be 40,000 "neutrals"?

Re: Cup final tickets
We will never go for it but surely scrap the cup credits on the ST. ST holders would then have to opt in for cup games and those who opt in and do not use the exchange would have first priority come finals day.
Re: Cup final tickets
It's total credits, not just credits attained through cup games.

Re: Cup final tickets
The 40,000 "other" tickets that are available for the FA Cup Final are the touts source of income for the year. It is madness, I understand the FA Family thing and all that but the competing clubs should get at least another 10,000 each. Also the attendance figures of the competing teams should be factored in, for example if team A play in a 60,000 capacity soulless bowl of a stadium and team H play in a Rugby league stadium with about half the capacity of their opponents then maybe team A should get a bigger allocation. There will always be people who will want a Cup Final ticket..there are genuine fans who cannot attend every /many games but are emotionally attached to the club they support. Nothing worse than glory boys latching on to success. The Hull rugby league derby being on at the same time is a coincidence and in fairness to the rugby crowd when this was planned they wouldn't have expected Hull City to be in the FA Cup Final.

Re: Cup final tickets
I think his point is that the palty (not poultry
) allocation has always been the same, even when it was the old Wembley holding 100,000. That's not to say it's right of course, but it's been like this for years and years. As was mentioned earlier, it's a touts dream because the neutral tickets all get sold on at vastly inflated prices, which entirely defeats the object of distributing them amongst the grass roots clubs because that is where they all end up, on the black market.
I have more than enough credits for a ticket but I desperately want to take my son as he loved the semi final and its also his birthday weekend, but since another ticket looks impossible, I will watch the game at home with him. My ticket already has a good home so please dont bombard me with ticket requests

Re: Cup final tickets
it is certainly not fair and Arsenal should have a bigger allocation than Hull because we have more supporters.DB10GOONER wrote:WTF? Are you being sarcastic here?Gunner Rob wrote:I don't know what all the fuss is about over the allocation.

however it is always 25,000 so why is everyone so surprised that it is no different this year? Also we have known for about a month that there was a good chance of getting to the final, but Gazidis like Wenger with his transfer dealings decided to ignore this until we reached the final, like Wenger leaves transfer dealings until we are assured of a place in the CL.

We shouldn't have a bigger allocation, we should have at least 35000 EACH. Ridiculous that "Neutral" will have more support than either finalist.Gunner Rob wrote:it is certainly not fair and Arsenal should have a bigger allocation than Hull because we have more supporters.DB10GOONER wrote:WTF? Also nobody is "surprised" it is just a pisstake and has been since that policy came into effect. Same as the Champions League final.

Erm... who is surprised? Come on if you are gonna rip the shit out of someone else's spelling at least get it right, paltry my friend. Re: Cup final tickets
Daft question take it we are the home team. So will we be west stand at Wembley?
Re: Cup final tickets
In his defence, I can see the headline if 2 weeks ago he had complained. It would have beeen "Arrogant Arsenal already planning for cup final". The actual devil in the detail of him speaking up for both sets of fans would be ignored.Gunner Rob wrote:it is certainly not fair and Arsenal should have a bigger allocation than Hull because we have more supporters.DB10GOONER wrote:WTF? We don't know if they hadn't already made noises behind the scenes and then decided to make it public when the old farts ignored them as usual.
The allocation should be changed and if all clubs kick up enough of a fuss they might reduce the corporate because I don't think the grass roots should be reduced as the FA give them as little as poss. already.

The touting p*sses me off more than anything. All corporates and grass roots should be forced to register the name of the attendee at the time of purchase and if they have no ID at the game then it's bye,bye have a nice

In answer to Wilko's question, just checked the FA's own site we are the designated home team.
Re: Cup final tickets
Wigan were designated home team on Saturday, didnt they have the East end?
