Frimpong has been released by Barnsley

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Does Leon Britton count?

That's all I could think of, 8, not bad, you win though.
My original point was youngsters and reserves being released and sinking like stones so Upson and Bentley don't really come into that category but you've certainly named a few i'd forgotten. I remember Leon Brittan as a politician in Thatcher's cabinet so no, he definitely doesn't count!
And anybody trying to link that Leon Britton with the stuff on http://www.exaronews.com/articles/5322/ ... f-children would be completely wrong.

Holy Christ. FwankSav was offered a game with Sturm Graz last year!

Actually, all piss taking aside, I can confirm that my Thursday night indoor team have offered FrimpSong a game. We're hoping he can up his game a bit and won't make a total dick of himself.

he needs to make a video of himself training with his friends like Bentdner has.

bearing in mind the large number of ex players we've taken back for training - TH, Pires, Freddie, Flamini, Beckham, its obvious that AW sees both Frimpong and Bentdners personalities as bad influence on the squad.

Bentdner btw looks like Ray Winstone after a night on the piss in his.

pitiful.

News just in. With FrimpSong joining our 5-a-side game we can announce that our new shirt sponsor logo will read;

"DENCH"

I think I can speak for all the lads in the team when I say that we are absolutely whelmed by this news.

What a fall from grace. Quite sad tbh. The kid had talent.

I'm not sure about talent, but he certainly had an opportunity which he completely squandered. I've no sympathy whatsoever.

His talent was pretty limited from what I recall. Mainly he came into the first team for a few months and "put himself about" at a time when our defence was a fucking shambles, teams were slicing through us for fun as we had no proper DM (still don't really) and we had a pretty soft centre. He was basically a red card waiting to happen in every game he played as he didn't seem to have the common sense to realise when he should wind it in.

He has talent, yes. But not the talent, or brains, for Arsenal. Championship level is about his bar.

He had a lot of great physical attributes. He was strong as an ox, quick, good tackler and positioned himself well. Shame he couldn't put it all together and was more concerned about his media image than anything else.
