Citeh at home match thread.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Any other manager would drop Sanogoals and play Welbeck in the centre. But Arsene simply cannot admit to himself that he got it wrong on Sanogoals. I will be stunned if he doesn't start Sanogoals in the centre and either benches Welbeck or plays him out wide. Or benches Welbeck THEN plays him out wide.

Arsene's Ego - Holding us back since 2007

Could be our new moto. What is that in Latin?

goonertux wrote:If he starts Sanogo ahead of Wellbeck, then he truly is taking the piss out of the fans! Put the Postman in Wellbeck's position on either goal last night and you just know he would have missed both. Particularly the second. The ball would have got stuck under his feet, and the defender would have easily cleaned up. We wait in anticipation............
Was thinking the same while watching the game last night..Would Sanogo have scored either chance and the simple answer is no.. He would have missed the first and not got his feet sorted out for the second. Thee was few if any one on this forum dancing in the streets when we heard Welbeck signed, but Welbeck is now our player. He is our best option in that position and any selection of Sanogo over him or playing him out of position to suit Sanogo would be another disgraceful dereliction of duty by our manager. But I can see it happen, and taht will piss me off.
Can City lose two in a row ? Doubt it..Will City not set up for a big game ? Doubt it, ..Will Arsenal set up for a big game ? Doubt it.. So by my calculations that means an away win . 0-2. jaded after Internationals and all that.

"Conclusit enim MMVII" according to my old text books, but

Opus Stultissimus Tacticato Nonexisteniata Aeternitas

Has a certain ring about it! :D

Sanogo said yesterday that "welbeck has to earn his place"....

how did you earn yours then you useless fecker ? you came in on a free, welbeck came in for 16million you utter twit.

based on who we have fit it should be :

-------------------Welbeck--------------
Caz-----------------------------Sanchez
--------------------Ramsey-------------
-------Flamini---------------Jack-------
Monreal----Per---Kos-------Debuchy--

i've been a negative nellie for the last two weeks, but if Welbeck plays with Sanchez, i have a funny feeling we could steal it.

when they have the ball Rambo is going to have to drop back between flam n jack and help flam protect nachoman. sanchez will work his arse off no worries there. so we could do okay.

its clear from last night that Welbeck thrives in the middle with pace and movement out wide and behind him. not to emulate that would be a crime.

The cheecky crunt - Obviously wenker has been (as the yanks like to say) blowing smoke up his arse - To the point where he actually thinks or believes he has a right or is good enough to wear the Arsenal shirt...

Sanogoals can go and fuck himself. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Because of this and in general, I believe Chamberlain and Sánchez should be our wingers with Cazorla on the bench - especially against the big teams.

I too would rather have OX than Caz in that diamond, but with Ozil not fit i assumed wenger would go for Caz.

the obvious choice based on form is :

------------Welbeck-----------
Ox---------------------Sanchez
------------Ramsey-----------

you know Oz will work his socks off and Flam and Jack can just sit, likewise Sanchez.

i don't think we'll see it though

I did. thats why i used the word "assumed" rather than "assume" in my 2nd post

i'm interested to see how well Ozil will play with Welbeck in front of him. Good news about Gibbs.

welbeck already earned his place by not running like an inebriated deer and managing to make full boot on ball contact more than once in a match
