Mark Lawrenson expressing the same sentiment. I think there's a theme here....

The reality is that Brendan Rodgers has opened a can of worms. Either Hodgson is going to continue playing Liverpool players as he sees fit, or Rodgers is going to be accused of pressuring Hodgson and/or the players into withdrawing. He can't have it both ways.

And there is nothing wrong with Hodgson disclosing that, it is a routine explanation even for international managers to have to make. Unless Hodgson is now expecting to refuse to answer any questions as to team selection.

As usual its everyone elses fault.

I see Sturridge is out for another 4 weeks with a calf strain now, bet that must be Hodgsons fault for causing his thigh strain :barscarf: .

So selfish from Karl Henry not to foul Sterling there. Fucking brainless, lost them the game. Congratulations.

Times like these I love Liverpool.

EDIT: unbelievable. QPR are fucking dire and they are a reflection of Redknapp. The players are absolutely stupid. Leaving both CBs back for that free-kick but still committing 5 men in the box and then woefully underhitting the ball is criminal. They are going down without a doubt.

"No one will be questioning Harry Redknapp's approach to this game." Really? It was like parks football.

I've gone for Madrid -3.5 this week and I'm not joking when I say I think -4.5 is within the realm of possibility.

What a bunch of idiots. Rodgers has turned around Liverpool after years of not eating at the big boys table and now a few games into the new season, they want him out.

Granted, he bought a big dud, Ballotelli (who I thought would have been better than he has been) and been unlucky with Sturridge being out, but to want him sacked after turning the club around is really ridiculous.

To be fair to them though, Rodgers himself said when speaking about the scum last season, "If you spend £100m on players you should be winning the league".

He's spent more than that and they are shite. By his own words their current position is not acceptable and he is failing.

I'm just hoping that Madrid give them a proper dicking tonight and embarrass them all the way back to Burgleside.

Always thought Rodgers was a spoofer who by a combination of luck and momentum and media love was boxing well above his weight on the run in last season. His latest offering is that the team are finding it more difficult to adjust to life without Suarez ..some kick in the teeth for Sturridge there. Meanwhile in the depths of their mediocrity last Saturday Robbie Savage had to find some way to praise Stevie Me at the end.
To turn on him so quickly is laughable, from being a messiah last April to this, and they say we are fickle.

Agreed on all counts. They are never going to be able to attract players of Suarez's quality but they've just thrown money at very average players.

To be fair the Balotelli one I understood - I said at the time that I didn't want us to sign him but I thought it was a gamble worth taking for them.

Rodgers is a smarmy cu*t who fancies himself a footballing legend (the man has a self-portrait in his house FFS!).

I'll forever be thankful that Liverpool bottled the League last season, had they won it, Rodgers would've been a gleeful, smug prick able to cling to the title of "the man who brought glory back to Liverpool" forever. Even if he never won another thing, he'd be sufficiently satisfied for the remainder of his natural life - no doubt the fu*ker would be waiting for the rightful honour of being knighted.
