nope sorry - look at the 2002 team :

Seaman - GG
Dixon - GG
Cole - GG Youth
Keown - GG
Adams - Don Howe / Campbell - Spuds captain.
Parlour - GG
Bergkamp - Rioch

Back five was Georges, plus Parlour and Bergkamp. The Spine was already there from front to the best back five in football, with cashley slotted in and Campbell rotating with Adams or Keown.

who was saying 98-04 was luck ? - not me. I was saying that 98-02 was an inherited team with a couple of superb buys.

Wenger-speak for "niggling injury". Soon to develop into "long term injury". Again.
To be honest at this stage the worst thing imo would be for him to get a run of games in case Wenger rushes to give him a new deal before he breaks down again.

Looks like Chamberlain in centre mid, might get away with it tonight but we'll get fucked at Chelsea if we do that

This highlights the lack of depth in our squad as there's nobody on the bench to get excited about.
Good luck Arsenal, let's hope we don't need to make much of the subs.

Eh? Wilshere Ospina podolski all world cup players?

Rosicky CAN do his bit, however the defense subs arent as good you would expect, and we all know that bar the only one :|

A tad harsh that,
I'm afraid the excitement will have to wait as the great Abou didn't quite make it tonight...

thats going to be interesting - can he screen the back four, and particularly protect the CB's when our two backs are pushed up ?

Wesley snjeider is no dummy, i think he can hurt us tonight.

wonga is going for the out scoring approach.

i'm worried now. seriously.

Agreed. And although versatility is useful, CM and winger are completely and utterly different positions and giving him the odd game here and there is just spreading him too thin.

Looking at that team-sheet it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Wenger goes 4-1-4-1 again. I hope he's going to play the OX alongside flamini in a similar role to the one Rambo played last season, we will find out soon enough. :barscarf:

If world cup experience is how we grade players, then why haven't you mentioned joel Campbell ?? Fact is that wilshere is the ONLY outfield player that is worthy of playing and that is based on talent not corrupt fifa tournament experience

And it seems to be Wengers current favourite word too :!:
