I hate Chelsea as much as the next man but I was in the whl away end and there were not insignificant numbers of arsenal fans singing "I've got foreskin haven't you...fcking Jew"

I don't think we can congratulate ourselves too much on being so much better than Chelsea while stuff like that is going on.

There are idiots at every football club, but lets not get away from the fact that a significant proportion of chelsea's older fan base have had right wing views for decades. Whenever i've heard the anti semetic stuff sung by gooners its normally kids that dont know what they are singing.

Chelsea are have identified 3 racists involved in the Paris incident and have banned them for life.
A fourth has been offered a 1 year extension on his contract !

Always have been scum always will be .........BTW Baba the leader of C18 was Charlie Sergeant who unfortunately was an Arsenal fan but didn't attend many matches and had to stay away for good after he was outed on TV .
The BNP/NF never took off with us and we fought them tooth and nail !

However I would suggest that if anyone is of a delicate nature and seriously offended by the ridiculous but harmless "I've got a foreskin haven't you" then perhaps they shouldn't attend football matches .

An ex-police officer and Chelsea fan has apologised for his part in an alleged racist incident on the Paris Metro - but has denied he is a racist.

Richard Barklie, 50, of Carrickfergus, County Antrim, was identified as one of the people sought by the Met Police.

In a statement, he denied racist chanting and said he wanted to explain the context of the incident to police.

Chelsea Football Club has barred five fans after a video showed a black man being prevented from boarding a train.

Mr Barklie, an ex-Royal Ulster Constabulary and Police Service of Northern Ireland officer, is currently a director with a human rights organisation - the World Human Rights Forum - and has also worked supporting victims of the Troubles.

Belfast solicitor Kevin Winters issued a statement on behalf of the Chelsea season ticket-holder.

In it he said Mr Barklie:

had been involved in an "incident" in which a man - identified as Souleymane S - was "unable to enter part of the train"
had not taken part in racist singing and "condemns any behaviour supporting that"
had contacted the Met Police to "explain the context and circumstances" and wanted to "put on record his total abhorrence for racism"
wanted to state his "sincerest apologies for the trauma and stress suffered by Mr Souleymane"
went to the match alone and did not know anyone shown in the video
had travelled to games for more than 20 years "without incident" and had never been part of any "group or faction" of Chelsea fans"

In Liverpool they openly stated that this behavior was unacceptable in modern society and that the offenders have no idea how disrespectful their actions were toward the families of the 96.

I actually nearly had an irony overload when the camera zoomed in on one particular chav player during the warm up. Well, it turned out to be none other than uber-racist and all round cuntbag John Terry wearing an anti-racism t-shirt no less!
