I really cannot understand resting anyone in a semi final for the only actual trophy we can win this season.

Let's look at it this way. If he rests key players and by some way or another we do lose, he'll be out the door at the end of the season.

To be fair to old Arsene ( ), I'm really not bothered what side he puts out for this one.

Reading are tripe; they don't score many and ship plenty. We will beat them.

Yes agreed Reading are shit, without doubt, but the point being we have lost to well organised hard working shit teams previously
The one thing we do know for sure is under Steve Clarke they will be well organised, closing down spaces, and hard working, putting in a lot of effort, he will have the team tactically well drilled.

Also on what pretext is he not playing his first 11 in the only trophy they can win

1) Resting players - What for???
2) Rewarding those that got us here - Bollocks we are here to win and as manger must give club best chance by fielding Best players

Agreed, have to treat this game with complete focus and professionalism, if we turn up and think it's won already we will get another Monaco scenario because you can be sure Reading will be up for it.

Rest no one, play the beat team, played last Sat, play again next Sun, they should be rested as it is.

Really? I honestly couldn't give a shit if he played Welbeck, Walcott & Bielik in this one. We will batter Reading all over the place no matter.

Chill.
Quite LOL this thread, I don't feel nervous about this game. There isn't 10% of the pressure we faced last year versus Wigan and Hull.

A relaxed Arsenal side will pummel reading, whoever plays. The final will be much tougher.

Chillax.

Thats funny seem to remember same words before the Monaco at home, by the way not comparing Reading to Monaco, just highlighting attitudes....LOL
Are you for real???? Monaco are on a different planet to Reading. They narrowly lost in the CL this week versus Juve.

The battle for Arsenal is with themselves. Winning the fucker last year makes it totally different this time round.

He won't be though will he? If he knew he'd be out the door he wouldn't be resting players. He knows top 4 is enough

Play the best, try and put this to bed at half time then rest some players, if they get cocky we could be in for a shock, this is the FA Cup FFS and the little teams will play their hearts out. I think we should win this but I am not confident at all.

I don't see much comparison to Wigan TBH, the only thing in common is that Reading are also a Championship side. Wigan were doing well in the league at the time, had beaten Man City away to get to the SF and still had a half-decent team. Reading haven't had to play anyone from the PL and are playing crap generally. If we get a goal in the first half-hour the game will be as good as dead. Come on Gooner Tim on Sunday! :barscarf:

OK, keeping it simple so as not to be misinterpreted......explain to me why he should not play his best 11 players in the only chance of winning a trophy

Plans all sorted for tomorrow, come on you Gunners ! Agree with the view about arrogance - if we go into it thinking the game is won then we will make real heavy weather of it. I think we would still have enough quality to see them off but then again I thought that about Birmingham, Blackburn and Bradford.

Surely we can't fuck it up against these also rans ?

Playing the best players has usually backfired for Wenger in cup games. Give Jack, Theo, Gibbs a game. Even our England internationals must be too good for Reading

We lost out to 'B'-Teams - this time we won't, initial character is different or is it Breading? :rubchin:

This team dare I say it has more balls than any team since probably 2006. You know the likes of Sanchez and Coquelin will be up for this.

Their enthusiasm can only rub off on the rest of the team. Even Santi is here there and everywhere these days.

I have just watched the highlights from last years semi final which we all thought that we would win easily
The cup is renowned down through the years for shocks. Anyone remember Chelsea and Bradford? :rubchin:

We will walk this 3 0 :barscarf: :D
