Surely the banner won't make an appearance until the title is absolutely dead in the water? Leicester look to have it in the bag but one bad result could see their confidence crumble, not as if they're used to competing at the top level. Like I say, I know it looks likely that you'll drop points in the run in and not get the title but surely it's better to hope, and to support, until it's definitely gone?

Mate this isnt about one game, one competition, or one season. Its taken some people over a decade to reach this point.safcftm wrote:Surely the banner won't make an appearance until the title is absolutely dead in the water? the banner isn't just a response to this season, but to years of underachievement and general apathy shown by a manager who gets paid twice as much as poch & ranieri and has no pressure to deliver anything substantial. i don't think for one second the banner would lower the morale of the players, knowing our bunch of pussies they'd probably raise their game for their dear leader if the media keep haranguing the banner boys.
personally, i love seeing the banner even though on paper things are going ok (at least in the eyes of you and general neutral fans) as it gives it a lot more credability. we aren't a bunch of kneejerkers, this is our well founded stance on wenger.
up the banner

Don't buy this whole potentially fragile Leicester thing. They've won 5 of their last 6 games 1-0 - imagine if Mourinhos Chelsea did that at this stage of the season!
They've dropped 5 points in 10 games and 3 of those were against us in a game they probably would have won if that daft prick hadn't gotten himself sent off.
Contrast that with Spurs who as usual are starting to flap at this stage of the season with two dire cup exits, chucking away 2 points against us and dropping points at Anfield despite supposedly being on red-hot form and our typical run of 2 wins in 9 as we are as ever unable to buy a win when the pressure is on.

Cech
Bellerin Gabriel Koscielny Monreal
Coquelin Elneny
Sanchez Ozil Iwobi
Welbeck
Subs: Ospina, Chambers, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Ramsey, Walcott, Giroud
No place in the 18 for our geriatric midfield 3, while Campbell deserves at least a place on the bench but won't get one.

The Hammers were the last away team to win at Highbury ( and first to win at the Emirates) so it would be nice if we could return the favour.

Re: West Ham v Arsenal Sat 12.45
We'll either lose, draw or win.
Utd will either lose, draw or beat spurs.
Where does that leave us? I no longer care.

Don't really know why but I'm kinda looking forward to this. I hope we turn in a solid, decent performance for a change. Not to save Wenger's A$$, not because I still think we can win the league and not for "prides" sake either, but because these underperforming failures owe us a big game and I hope we put the Shammers back in their box today.
And Wenger still OUT!!

Hoping for the away win today, looking forward to seeing Iwobi and Wellbeck again up front
As for West Ham they have won the lottery with there stadium move
West Ham fans make me laugh always going on about Bobby Moore, who was a real gent and great ambassador for English football, he would be appalled by the way most of them behave

Re: West Ham v Arsenal Sat 12.45
hopefully not having to watch Giroud arrogantly lumber around or Walcott float on the periphery counting his cash is positive at least.
They shouldn't be first choice for a side with aspirations to win the title but at least the likes of Welbeck, Iwobi and Campbell will put a real shift in and play with a bit of tempo.
