I've been to see them a couple of times myself. Nice little club, with friendly fans. FUCK OFF YOU BUNCH OF *word censored*
For me everything about the club is rotten to the core, good riddance is what I say..
I'm now a proud owner of a ST at my local team Dartford Fc ..... I can't fucking wait for next year,
Made to feel welcome and part of the club, the feeling when we win is just the same, only this time you have a club that strives to get higher up the ladder and you don't feel like you're having the piss taken out of you by foreign owners looking to fill their pockets.
Looking at the crowds, even at Ryman Premier level and some of the away support, makes you wonder if more and more of the disillusioned fans from bigger clubs are turning to non league.
I've always had a healthy respect for non-league and am fascinated with the pyramid system and how many hundreds of obscure football clubs ply their trade for the love of the game. Sadly for me, Arsenal is my local club and I was never been able to afford to go before they turned corporate and I'm fucked if I'm giving them a penny now. I suppose Barnet and Enfield are the most obvious ones to go to.
This weeks game 3 - 0 to the Arsenal, but who cares anymore ?. Serious injury for Danny Boy - get well soon son.![]()

Re: VILLA HOME THREAD
The best result for those who genuinely want Le Fraud Gone is for Villa to win.
The torture of the Lap of Honour becomes even more cringeworthy for the cun.t - Even those still sat very firmly on the fence (as in want him gone but would never dare utter such foul words - might even be tempted to either fuck orf and leave the bowl an echoing desert of shuffling players feet or maybe even raise the odd timid 'boo!'....
Also those who DO want wenker out can Boo! and be perfectly justified in doing so...
To lose tomorrow would lend greater Kudos to the Wenker Out Banner Gooners - and make the cun.t really have to come up with some (as yet) un-thought of or extra- terrestrial excuses....like ze playurs are tirred beecoz zay wur keednapped last night and butt fuckked by green monsturs from outta space.
COME ON VILLA - help embarrass the cun.t and add a little more spice to the wenker out campaign

I trust they won't attempt any sort of lap, whatever they choose to call it tomorrow. It will be fun to see them in front of a virtually empty stadium. Possibly more effective than booing him.

5-1 easy home win

Yep and it won't make a jot of difference even if we somehow contrived to lose to this sorry lot.augie wrote:TeeCee wrote:I've totally run out of fucks to give!

I've got a 7-8 hour drive from Edinburgh to Cardiff before back in work Monday - which frankly is a far more palatable prospect than a 12 hour round trip to watch the game.
Re: VILLA HOME THREAD
I don't think I'm going to go. I just can't be arsed. The club and players don't deserve any support.

Re: VILLA HOME THREAD
Apparently Arteta, Rosicky and Flamini are due some sort of 'send off'.
Rosicky I can understand, he isnt a legend by any stretch, but he is a 10 year Arsenal veteran and deserves applause.
But Flamini and Arteta? Flamini left us high and dry in his prime, and did F all in his second stint at the club. As for Arteta, he never betrayed us, but I cannot bring myself to celebrate a career as hollow as his. He did nothing for Arsenal, and he is the worst captain we have ever had. When Wenger made him captain, I was perplexed. In fact, Arteta getting the arm band was really indicative of how far we have fallen, and how Wenger has forgotten the importance of leadership. From Adams, Vieira, Henry, even Gilberto - top players and leaders, Wenger subsequently used the captaincy to keep players at the club (Cesc,RVP), or ended up getting it all wrong with Gallas, Vermaelen (cant lead form the bench), and Arteta. But make no mistake, Arteta was the worst captain we ever had. I cant in good faith celebrate Arteta's time at Arsenal. If we do, its the equivalent to the players celebrating 4th place - i.e what and why are we celebrating exactly??????

Arteta's performance in the v 1:2 loss WBA betrayed the team.
Not the first time.
30 years in football cannot see 36 year old crock cannot work in WBA.

Re: VILLA HOME THREAD
Arteta was just a disaster. He had no defensive qualities at all. Yet was playing in a specialist defensive position. He was an attacking midfielder in his prime at Everton. Then at Arsenal in his declining years, played an unnatural position that exposed everyone of his limitations (lack of strength, poor tackler, no pace, no agility). He was a defensive midfielder in name only. Only because Wenger played him there was he called a defensive midfielder. If you give someone a stage and a microphone, it doesnt make them a singer. A singer needs certain qualities to be defined as a singer. And just because Arteta was sandwiched between the defence and midfield when Sky placed up the starting team in formation, doesnt mean he was a holding midfielder.
Persisting with Arteta in that role, is as great a calamity as Almunia in goal for 3 straight seasons.

Re: VILLA HOME THREAD
I like arteta and feel that he was just the wrong player at the wrong time for us - had he have joined us a few years previously I would have no doubt that he would have stepped in seamlessly into a good football team, but sadly he joined us at a time when the wheels were starting to fall off and he wasn't the type of player to prevent it happening. That being said, I have huge respect for a player that took a pay cut to leave a mid table club and join us, and in this money grabbing world that is a very rare thing.
However I will also add that I don't see how any one of the 3 of those players merit a special send off - flamoney was a mercenary pr*ck who has a deep history of chasing the money, rosicky has had numerous years of doing f.uck all in return for collecting big wages, and arteta hasn't been with us long enough or done enough to justify special treatment today. Methink this is yet another pr stunt for the AFC Brand

Re: VILLA HOME THREAD
I never really understood the worship Rosicky gets tbh. Obviously he was a very talented player but has done very little for us on the pitch. A couple of goals against the vermin aside I struggle to think of much else...a bit of a waste of talent really. I think he has a genuine affection for the club but he should never have had his last 2 contracts.
Nothing against Arteta but was never a defensive midfielder and a bit of a non entity for me.
Flamini...Meh.
Going to try to enjoy today as not sure when I'll be attending again
.....so if we finish above the vermin I'll celebrate it...even though in the long run it'll do more harm than good.
4-0 to The Arsenal

Washed my hair yesterday, the day before, I clipped my toenails. Cut the grass this morning, and the wife is doing the hoovering.
Unless I can find some wet paint to watch in the next hour I may have no choice but to go to the Villa game.
It really does feel like that.

Re: VILLA HOME THREAD
I had a wierd dream last night. Sky News showed footage of two Villa fans getting beaten up by a woman with a pram or buggy..the game finished 2-2 with Giroud missing an absolute sitter, TV from behind the goal showed him following up a rebound to tap in from about one yard but instead he attempted a Cruyff / Bergkamp turn and messed it up and finally the most unbelievable part..The official attendance announced by the club was 36,000..
Re: VILLA HOME THREAD
For me, Rosicky was a really talented player and he was one of those player who never gave up on a ball, putting most of our current crop to shame. He also had a good shot as well. I always thought that if he had have stayed fit we might have been talking about him as one of the Arsenal legends. Unfortunately it was not to be. Do agree about the contracts though.silus wrote:I never really understood the worship Rosicky gets tbh. Obviously he was a very talented player but has done very little for us on the pitch. Rosicky certainly gave up on the ball at this free kick.
This is for me where you see the desire is non existent, we need players who strive, and make the effort. That video is damning on Tomas, and I have never forgotten it.
