Laca is working his bollocks off and holding up play well when he gets it but as I say in nearly every match thread we badly lack that X factor up top, someone to make that killer run in behind or produce a moment of magic out of nothing.

Martinelli absolutely outstanding, TAA is absolutely shit scared of him, Saka looks gassed he needs to get into this game big time second half.

Good solid, well organised display so far, my biggest worry is the longer this goes on nil nil the bigger the chance of of getting fucked by the ref to give them the win.

When I think back to Martinelli’s two yellows in 10 seconds and then watch Mane cheating his way through the half without even getting book it makes my fucking blood boil

Whatever happens in the next 45, this half demonstrates we have no reason to put Liverpool on a pedestal and, with a couple of smart additions, we should be aiming to match them points wise next season. Man City are unfortunately a slightly different proposition as they already have almost two quality first teams and will probably add another £200 million of talent in the summer.
