As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I wish i was as confident as you guys.. This is going to really hard. With the second leg at anfield aswell. We will do amazingly well to get through this one.

I dont see the 2nd leg at Anfield as a problem as long as we get a decent result at the Grove. We played Milan at home 1st, didn't conceed and were in good shape for the 2nd leg.
was in town when the draw was made and my liverpool supporting mates txtn me and not happy with getting us,, playing 3 times in a week is shite,, and my own feeling is it could go either way
My mate who is a scouser reckons we were the last team they wanted to draw - its going to be tough but we can do it and they may not fancy it. If torres didnt play they would really struggle.
If all these scousers didn't fancy getting us then we should be full of confidence. They watch their team week in week out and see something about us they dont like. Lets 'ave it Arsenal

NOT BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT WILL BE AN EASIER TIE. IN FACT, IT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME IF LIVERPOOL WERE FAVOURITES DUE TO THEIR EUROPEAN PEDIGREE AND THE FACT THE 2ND LEG IS AT HOME.
NO, THE REASON I AM HAPPY IS BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONE ENGLISH CLUB LEFT IN IT THAT I COULD ACTUALLY STOMACH LOSING AGAINST - NOT THAT I'D WANT TO LOSE, OBVIOUSLY.
I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A MASSIVE RESPECT FOR LIVERPOOL AND THE WAY THE CLUB CONDUCTS ITSELF, SO IF WE WERE TO GET BEATEN BY THEM, I WOULD BE CHEERING THE SCOUSERS ON AGAINST CHELSEA (WHO WILL MORE THAN LIKELY BEAT THE TURKS). IT ALSO WOULD MEAN THERE WAS ANOTHER TEAM CAPABLE OF STOPPING THE CHAVS FROM BUYING THE EUROPEAN CUP - AND THAT ALMOST MEANS AS MUCH TO ME AS ARSENAL WINNING IT!!
OF COURSE, THE POSSIBILITY OF MEETING THIERRY HENRY IN THE FINAL IS STILL ON AND PERHAPS A CHANCE TO REPAY CHELSEA FOR THAT 2004 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUARTER FINAL DEFEAT ALONG THE WAY. ALTHOUGHT I DON'T THINK I COULD BEAR THE THOUGHT OF LOSING TO THEM AGAIN. - SO COME ON FENERBACHE!!!
THE NIGHTMARE SCENERIO IS A MAN UNITED - CHELSEA FINAL, ALTHOUGH, PARADOXICALLY, IT MIGHT END UP BENEFITTING OUR TITLE CHALLENGE IF THEY BOTH STAY IN THE COMPETITION AFTER THE 1/4 FINALS.
ANYWAY, I'M RAMBLING NOW SO TO SUMMERISE: A DECENT DRAW WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT WORSE; WE HAVE A CHANCE OF PROGRESSING TO A DREAM FINAL AGAINST BARCA AND A CHANCE TO GAIN REVENGE; I WOULD FEEL NO DISGRACE IF WE DID GO OUT TO LIVERPOOL (UNLIKE LOSING TO CHELSEA OR MAN UTD); IF THE WORST CAME TO THE WORST, EXITING THE C.L. MIGHT END UP HELPING OUR TITLE PUSH.
ONE THING IS FOR CERTAIN - THERE ARE EXCITING TIMES AHEAD.
