To the tune of Streets of London:

(A post in the latest Gooner inspired part of the idea)

Have you seen the Yiddo's
In their run down stadium
kicking up the papers
as they watch their team lo-ose
in their eyes they have no pride
cause arsenal are the greatest side
the red and white of london
the only team to choose

so stand up and sing for the ar-se-nal
and watch the arsenal shi-ine

let me take you for a beer
and lead you through the streets of highbury
and you'll see football
that will blow away your mind

if you know the way that 500 miles song goes, "or fabregas, or Baptista !" fits right in instead of the (attempts it) "da la la la, da la la la" ! at the end of each chorus.

agree. quality.

I hope I start to hear "She wore a yellow ribbon" again now!!

Was anyone at the Charlton game and saw the north stand support sing "We're the North Bank / We're the Clock End Highbury". Both sets of fans have I think been put in the same area at the Grove and it was good to see.
The chant of North bank/Clock end has been brought up several times in the Gooner with the majority of people feeling it's now time to move on. Perhaps a chant of 'We're the North Bank, Ashburton'. Everyone can join in with this as there is now a lot more supporters who weren't Highbury regulars.

We might be able to get a few more new songs sung at Ashburton if some songsheets can be printed up and either given out as leaflts around the ground or posted in the Gooner Fanzine. As a lot of the songs involve slightly colourful language then this probably wont be authorised by the club but i'm sure someone can make it happen.

I disagree..."Where the North Bank / Clock End" became the most popular song in the last few years at Highbury and hearing it now is nice - especially when it means reminding ourselves of our roots at Highbury.

Lets face it - your not going to get what is now the south stand singing back at the north stand...because the south stand now is the family enclousure. The north stand now is made up mostly of North Bank and Clockend season ticket holders.

Was brilliant in one of the FA Cup matches last season when the Clockend came into the North Bank (yes there was petty animosity between the two lol) and you would see half the stand standup and sing "We're the North Bank Highbury" then they would sit down and the other half stand up and sing "We're the Clockend Highbury" all in the same part of the ground.

Recreating that week in week out at the Emirates would be funny and inject some unique atmosphere in the ground. (What other clubs do you see where random fans in the same part of the ground stand up and sing a song, then they sit down and another lot standup and sing a song).

Post by Victoria Concordia »

This came to me when painting the house!! To the tune of;

'...do a little dance, make a little love.....Get down tonight....Get down tonight'

'Do a little run,
Make another goal,
Cesc Fabregas ! (clap, clap)
Cesc Fabregas ! (clap, clap)

c,mon lads - its a winner!
