THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

What May? By May 2013 He'll already have another improved £8Million a year contract in the bag & 4th place will be the limit of his ambitions every season!!!!! :barscarf:

The thing is, it's very hard to put your point across in 140 characters. So i just jotted down a few paragraphs and sent them this;

Interestingly, they've now all gone quiet :lol:

What more is there to say about him that hasn't been said 100 times before over the last few years. The man is Teflon and nothing will ever stick to him.

I'm not saying he wants to lose - of course he doesn't - but he just doesn't care enough about winning. Sadly his priorities do not match the best interests of the football club, which should be to do the utmost within our means to win trophies whilst laying a solid platform for further development.

He'll prove this yet again in the summer when he goes out and makes a few of his vanity signings in the £8-12m bracket in the hope that he will be lauded for unearthing a superstar and performing admirably on a limited budget instead of taking a gamble paying top dollar for a class centre-forward and making ruthless decisions.

plus 100 million in the bank unspent, and even if we'd spent half of it, it would be topped back up to 100m again in the summer and that's not including the extra 30m we'll get in June from Puma.

Wenger with cash is like Gollum' - "my precious, precious cash..."

thats the problem with the club, the whole structure is rotten up and down :

the owner - doesn't care about success on the pitch just revenues
the board - scared of the manager, but happy to reward his failure as "he's the best we can get" TM
Manager - reluctant to spend money, or change his methods, no pressure on him to improve

lets face it, as long as we generate cash its the status quo.
