SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

There is talk of a 4 year contract.£25k a week=£5m over 4 years.He's won the lottery

In 4 seasons he has played 19 games he makes Diaby look fit

Judging by this thread, the end of the season can't come soon enough for some people!

Why do people get so bent out of shape over papertalk? It's all bullshit and we all know we're probably not going to sign anyone decent!

And, most annoying (please prove me wrong!) we will no doubt do out spending right at the end of the window, already out of the title race and giving the new additions no time to acclimatise.

Actually, I want this season to end so I can cheer the fuck up!

My question would be why are we signing him? Akpom has scored lots of goals in the reserves this year suremy he would be worth a chance? If we did want to take a chance with a signing then why not Hooper from Celtic or Austen of Burnley who have both scored more goals and have more first team experience than this bloke?

I hope this is not a sign of things to come in the summer as Wenger can't handle and won't buy big names!!!
He's not actually been signed yet so this goes in the transfer thread.
It is as good as done as he's openly discussed it.
Don't give a shit. If he ain't actually done the medical and signed the paper he doesn't get a thread. How many fucking signings threads do we need? They all degenerate into the same rumours bullshit.

"Reports in France have claimed that he has shunned offers from a host of clubs in his homeland by agreeing a four-year deal with the Gunners."

:rubchin: Hmmm, I wonder why that is lol

I'll reserve my judgement when I see him play. Yes I too am sceptical. Most of our youth freebie signings have been terrible

Let's hope he doesn't turn out to be another vela, aliadiere, lupoli

BTW what the hell is miyachi doing? He was meant to be special I heard.

Because we're a big club and have a great chance of winning trophies of course. I hope you weren't suggesting he is just using us for the money and as a possible stepping stone.

Every other French club: "You are unproven at the top level. If you join us we will start you on €10,000 p/w"
Arsenal: "You will cost us nothing. If you join us we will start you on £30,000 p/w, maybe more!"

Anyone who's ever played Football Manager can tell you that Sanogo might turn out to be our greatest ever player.

I wonder if the Clueless one has ever played? :rubchin:

3 years later;

Every other French club: "You are now proven to be shit. You are sold."
Arsenal: "You are now proven to be shit. Would you like a contract extension and a payrise?"
