Wenger Out protest thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I am more than happy to contribute to the Wenger out fund. Is there a PayPal account or something?

This would be great. See also if you could find one near the training ground.

I'd like to point out one minor thing from chairmans statement. He said this:

'We respect that fans are entitled to their different individual opinions'

Any of you thought the same as me? He's saying different INDIVIDUAL opinions and tried to belittle the protest and point out that this is not anything that they should take seriously. Again arrogant and embarrassing statement from the club. Fuckers all of of them!

Just another thing, the team coach arrives at the stadium about 1hr 20mins before the game, that's the official line from the club. If we get there at 4:30, we could be missing on good publicity. Closing the door after the horse has bolted and all that. I think we need to get there latest 4pm.

I heard them talking shit on Talksport this morning about the protests...I was so mad I tried to phone in but they just keep you hanging on for absolutely ages...so I emailed them this

I was at the Wenger protests on Tuesday and there were way more than 100 people. Out of 60 000 you say?? A lot of those 60 000 are tourists there only for the experience and seemed totally baffled by the protests. The protests are going to be ramped up now, there is another one this Saturday and every home game thereafter...Win, lose or draw, Wenger's time is done and we want him OUT. And if any one of the media pundits say "be careful what you wish for again I think 5 000 of us will scream in unison" Man. U are rebuilding, Chelsea lost out on CL and are going to win the league and maybe the double...and Arsenal??? We will win nothing BUT we are being told to be careful what we wish for. And please don't mention the FA cup..we won't get past the semi's considering the teams remaining

I am Liking this and all the other ways that are being brought to the Protest...As someone has rightly said there are enough of us Gooners with very wide ranging skills that can be of great use to get rid of Clueless. Can you imagine the sweet irony of us using all of these various 'Tactics' to manoeuvre someone who is tactic-less, to outwit and out do him and the club and their hostile PR machine.

We definitely need a fund and would get a good one pretty fast- just another thought, should there be a sub forum for people we pretty much know are in on this- regular posters, ones we know are OK etc .

The public forum will be being carefully monitored. Not that a sub forum wont be but its harder.

This can be a general nuance forum so onlookers get the gist, old posters can come back (Pleased to see some returning BTW 8) ) , but specific tactics maybe better in a sub somewhere. :rubchin:

The dark web anyone

This idea I really like :barscarf: The aeroplane idea is good in the sense that the meeja always highlight it, but it is only visible for a minute or two plus I wouldn't be at all shocked if the club put an akb on the stadium roof with a rocket launcher to take it down  If the billboard idea is a runner, set up a paypal account (or some other account) and pm lads on here - I know that I certainly contribute if it is a runner.
Btw are you talking about a billboard near the stadium or near the colney ?

Are there any volunteers to get the account up and running. I know somebody (family) who can set it up or does anyone else want to do it??

I've been thinking the same thing mate, we need to have a forum/on-line meeting place where we can discuss and agree stuff that we need to keep out of the public domain till it happens. Flash Mob Protests at all kinds of places. :barscarf:

I am not skilled enough web/software wise - otherwise I'd do it. :?

I know it is a lot to ask of someone - time, energy etc but think of the benefits

"WENGER LEAVES ARSENAL"

Can you imagine THAT headline on all the back (& Front!) Pages! - Give sme a nice warm fuzzywuzzy feeling. :-P :D

Who on here wrote that rule sheet for the protest? I know we said respectful, but have we gone too far the other way? We're not nuns!

The "rule sheet" ?.....That would be me :D I hear what you say mzk, but keeping it "clean" is vital. Think about the anti protest reactions so far this week. All they've been able to do is lie about the numbers attending and childishly try to belittle the quality of the banners etc (which have actually been excellent).

They would love to be able to depict us as knuckle dragging morons and we can't give them that opportunity. We've started out with the tone spot on in my opinion and need to maintain the loud, clear, but clean message. You just posted a couple of songs, which are good, but I'd go as far as to say that the word "shit" should be replaced with the milder "crap". The protest is getting airtime on the and radio and it's crucial to create the right image. Only my opinion of course.

Oh, you say we're not nuns.....well, I've got one or two interesting habits !
