Love to mate, but if we didn't have it all in one place, the delusion that we might buy a decent player in the transfer window would spread like a plague to every thread.

Ba to Chavs makes sense. They obviously need a striker and Abramovich clearly isn't ready to give up on Torres yet so Ba's cheap enough to be an effective alternative/back-up and/or a stop-gap between potentially giving up on the ladyboy and buying a big-money replacement. Wouldn't have minded us signing him but cant say I'm fussed if we don't either.

So the question remains.....who the fuck have Arsenal got to play up front if Giroud isn't fit? Wally yes, but will he stay?
For everyone who says 'No' to signing Ba............I'll fooking remind you of that when the senile muppet in charge plays Gervinho up front again!! :banghead: :banghead:

Ba is a no brainer at 7m, he's been more reliable injury wise than at least half of the Arsenal squad so how can people question his injury potential??

Spot on, £7 million for Ba is a steal, not that the *word censored* Wenger would look at it that way, hed rather spend £11 million on shit like Gervinho, Ba is miles better than that *word censored* and Giroud put together

9 goals and 11 assists in his first 6 months at the arsenal is Giroud that shit?

I would be happy with Ba but two uncertainties over him -

He has dodgy knees.

He might stir things up a bit, looks as if his departure from Newcastle is a bit acrimonious?

Anyway if Chelsea are involved, then as others have pointed out Chelsea will trump us with wages so we are not going to get him.

Llorente or Lopez or even Remy might come in the summer?

Much depends on Walcott's contract.

Why does the walcott contract matter we need another forward no matter what

I agree we need a new striker even if Walcott stays.

His contract matters because I think it might effect both our transfer/wage budget, and what type of striker we buy.

If he goes, then Lopez could well be a favourite as he is able to play wide right or up front, if Walcott stays then Wenger may favour a taller more traditional target man in the mould of Llorente.

But only 6 goals and 1 assist were in the league so far.
I think Giroud - if he gets the time on the pitch - can be a 15(+-4) goals per season striker in the league.
That is not shit but is it enough for a club like Arsenal?

Agreed. And also as far as January goes, unless Walcott suddenly signs in the next week or 2, or states outright he's going, I can imagine Wenger dilly-dallying over whether to buy a striker for fear of it tipping Walcott's decision in favour of leaving in the summer. Indecisiveness is Wenger's forte.

isnt everybody forgetting we have a German international, yes GERMAN front man of some 97 caps at our club, wouldnt he slot straight into CF if heaven forbid injuries to Wally and Giroud occured?? regards Ba there isnt exactly alot of clubs gagging for his signature even at 7m,we have more interested parties in Wally right now.i know Ba is a snip and we need back up but id rather stick Pod up top and bring a winger in,a proper winger
