SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Now this I hope is true...... good quality keeper to push shezzer and at the same time a bit of mentoring might not go amiss. :)

You have to hand it to Arsene - the papers are certain this is the summer Arsene is finally going to spend on proven quality, linking us with Villa, Remy, Higuain, Jovetic and even Rooney - but Arsene goes for a 20 year old French African from Ligue 2 available for a minor compensation fee!

Hats off to Wenger....he's mastered the art of getting the press to speculate that the impossible might just come true one Summer. By the time he leaves us in about another 5 years time and we've won our 13th virtual trophy the reported war chest will be about £200m and he'll still be waiting for debt free Chelsea to go bust and sending his entire scouting team to St Etienne every weekend

Don't usually rely on youtube videos, but the kid looks decent.Potential signing.. :barscarf:

[DB10Gooner merged a Sanogo thread with the transfer signings thread earlier, so gonna keep with the policy and merge this too - QuartzGooner.]

Actually, he's another Diaby.
See his medical history, and weep.

I'm gonna put him in the Gervinho category. A totally "meh" signing, probably capable of producing a few moments of magic each season, in amongst a shitload of mediocrity and averageness.

I remember watching Gervinho on YouTube before we signed him. Normally, every player looks like Messi when you watch their 'best bits', but with the Forehead, endless mazy dribbles ended with the ball in Row Z. If you look shit on You Tube you are clearly not very good.
