Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Could be time to get the banner out
Seriously I can't see myself lasting to the end of the season without getting banned, I'm so fucking angry and there are so many colourful expletives I want to use when I post about our beloved leader.

On here or at the ground ? Have to say that I feel the same  Is there any point that those defending the club and slating rvp would change their position and demand change along with the rest of us ? When will enough be enough ? :?

Not sure he can legitimately claim to have gone based on ambition alone if he goes to Juventus, Serie A is a piss-poor league in comparison and they still start as rank outsiders to win the CL. I don't give a fuck if they went unbeaten last year, they are not a great team.

Let me make this clear, I wouldn't sell him to United at any price, I would rather see him rot in the reserves.

If he does end up at Citeh, lets take De Jong, Johnson & richards in exchange

Stopped reading his Arse(ene) kissing shite years ago. Used to be quite witty but is now a minor celebrity (in his own mind anyway) and is basically a blinkered AKB.

THIS!!!

I read this blog religiously, but there has been a marked shif in his attitude over the past year. Arseblogger (along with a few other bloggers) were all brought on a tour of the new medical facility at the training ground by the club last year. A nice little junket provided by the club. In this years membership pack there's a portion of his new book included.

I suppose it's hard to be impartial in your writings about the club when you've been bought and have become little more than the club's bitch. On every single matter be takes the club's viewpoint. I suppose the only way to make him irrelevant is to stop reading, and after today's brown nosing of all things Wenger and Gazidis that's exactly what I've done.

Last great player jumps a sinking ship.

I would not enjoy playing for a club that gets booed because it is performing well below the standard set by its history.

I deal with it by not spending a penny on Arsenal until I see the club run as I want it too. Nothing to do with just winning things. In todays football we can have an amazing team that finishes 2nd and runners up in cup competitions as the standard is high.

Ju Young Park: Van Persie is leaving? Time to shine!

Well I don't blame RvP for leaving, it was kind of expected, he tried to send a message to the board, but when he realised it's hopeless to change them, he did what is best for him. And that will continue year by year if something does not change in the top.
Anyway I will support RvP anywhere he goes, except Citeh. If he is MCFC next year, he's dead for me or like that money w**** that left us last year.

BTW now that we have Giroud we should definitely get rid of Djourou, because their names are heard too similar :)

^^^^THIS^^^^

After a fairly sleepless night, and going through a lot of negative emotions I kinda hoped to read today's news headlines which included the club proclaiming to keep RvP at any cost. Rather like a reiteration of what Wenger said earlier on this week.
Silly git, I sometimes do get concerned at my own naievity.
I imagine that this drama will play out for most of the weeks before our first match of the season, and I feel increasingly embarrassed, year on year, by the handling of our players contracts and the consequences.

That said, I applaud RvP for keeping the supporters informed. Whether he is attempting to scare the board into doing something substantial with regard to buying established PL players, or is just plainly seeing a final big pay day, I don't know.

I was surprised that he chose to do what he did, but like I say, I am unsure of his motives. I, for one shall not knock the bloke though.

Still bloody angry though. I actually want Kroenke to leave, now. When that should happen the other dominos will fall.

This is why I am confused by those slating rvp's announcement - last season all fans were slating cesc for not coming out and being honest about his wish to leave so now rvp has done it and he is wrong too ? How the fcuk can you win ? :?
