The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It also should be said that remy scored within minutes of being brought on for him
Agree. My thoughts as I watched this game. Griezman, Remy and Giroud would be a threat alright.
PSG have reportedly bid £26million for Griezmann(homegrown),well over his release clause fee. At least FFP is working eh :banghead:

Hang on, mate. Surely you must have got that wrong? Transfer dealings aren't initiated before the world cup. Everyone knows that!

Griezmann is very good but Vela is twice the player. Sociedad have apparently offered us Griezmann for a cut price as long as we give up our buy back clause for Vela.

Griezmann is a Walcott type forward who loves to make runs in behind. I think an all round striker is what we need, and that would be Vela.

Have to admire your devotion to the cause to bring Vela back

Out of interest TG why do you think PSG would bid well above someone's release clause?

£18m would be too much for a player of his limited experience imo
