Whether or not it'd have made a difference in the result, but why the fuck was that Palace 3rd goal disallowed :? :?

What the opening games have told me this season is that there isn't any game we should be heading into where we can't expect to be competitive

Palace (as usual) have shown you can go to Anfield and the Etihad and compete. Fulham have showed you can rough up Liverpool's backline and midfield, as did a very ordinary Man Ure side.

My disappointment will come if we suffer ANY 4 or 5 goal maulings like we did against those two last season. No divine right to win, and of course there will be some defeats to come......but these two are more vulnerable than they've been at any point in recent seasons and if Fulham and Palace can have a right go at them, then so should we

Yeah! It is how we react to the defeat/s that will show if indeed we have progressed. Last season we lose one and then at least 2 more...it was like the teams mental strength and confidence took such a blow that it took 2 more games to try and recover... it was this that cost us 4th last season.

So we have to be able to bounce back straight away; easier said than done I know, but that is part of the strength of a team and the ability of a manger/coach to get the players fired up again. The players all look like they are reading from the same page (except clivelcunto)and believe in each other and the manager, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

Maybe we’ve got another Bale on our hands :rubchin:

By the way, 6 Arsenal players involved for Nice v Marseille: Kolasinac, Tavares, Guendouzi, Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey & Pepe

VAR obviously doesn't apply to Harry Kane.
Clearly an offside arm for Spurs 2nd today

I was stuck watching Liverpool with my neighbour as they cruised to a 9-0 win :x

There was an own goal that I was 100% sure would be chalked off for Luiz Diaz offside but it was allowed to stand. I’d love an explanation but it looked a nailed on certainty he was interfering from an offside position (I mean why the fuck would the defender lunge in and poke the ball into his net if not under pressure by offside Luiz Diaz) but I can’t find the discussion anywhere? Weird.

Haaland looks like he's adjusted to premier League. He's gonna break every goalscoring record if he stay for 10 years. Unless there is huge shift in club position I can only envisage Odegaard joining him at City in a couple of years rather than Haaland joining us.

Will this be before or after Martinelli, Smith-Rowe and Saka have all left us also like all the doom mongers predict?

Haaland will be at Real Madrid in 3 or 4 years

Nope, all still here and seem to be enjoying themselves

I’d be delighted if we can tie Saliba down to a new contract sharpish though. He’s clearly a real star but his contract situation leaves me a little uneasy… don’t want his head being turned at the World Cup!

I don't think that's something you need to be thinking too much about.

Really?? How much do you imagine that ESR is enjoying getting splinters in his arse, while watching Xhaka lumber around in an attacking centre mid position?? I rate ESR very highly indeed, but for some odd reason, it's looking as though he doesn't have a future at the club. If I was his agent, I'd be telling him to get the fuck out asap, while he still has a sound reputation and before Arteta ruins his career.
