THE NORMAN WISDOM MEMORIAL FILM THREAD

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Seen recently:

Lincoln Lawyer:

Really enjoyed this, McConaughey's character was great and good plot.
Very dramatic. I was on the edge of my seat and I'd read the book!

Fire In Babylon:

This was a bit boring to be honest. It's a documentary about the great West Indian cricket team of the 70s and 80s and the cultural effects etc. Didn't really like it and ended up getting in a shoving match with some *word censored* in an 'Anderson is my homeboy' t-shirt. Little ginger prick.

However the two people I've discussed it with really enjoyed it, one being my Dad who followed that team as a kid and the other a mate who watched it due to the bits on Afro-Caribbean culture.

If you're black Caribbean and interested in your cultural history or you remember that side go watch it, if not give it a miss.

Source Code:

Good I thought. A bit like Inception but easier to follow. Thought the character of the girl was played especially well, can't remember who by.

The Hangover Part II:

Lot of people slated this but I really enjoyed it, lot of good comic moments and Alan and Chow are still funny. If you liked the first one you'll like this if not you won't. Not original at all, but it was a good laugh!

Oh yeah Davey I'm going to see the digital version of Apocalypse Now on the 7th, really looking forward to it, haven't seen the original which should make it all the better!

If you enjoyed the first one you will like this. I took the Grand kids to see it and the thought it was good.

I really enjoyed it. Plot is very similar to first one but very funny. If you liked the first one you'll enjoy this!

not a patch on the first film and thats where the problem is, the hangover 2 is the SAME film just set in a different country but with less laughs .
