Manorhouse and Bro - I tried my best to champion the cause of our manager but I'm not allowed to partake in that little pleasure anymore

Carry on.
Saying he hasn't improved is incredibly unfairGunner Rob wrote:there are strong opinions on here yes but often with very good reason.
there are also few who make knee jerk reactions - I have defended Jack on lots of occasions on here but this is hardly his first smoking offence and his playing career has also stalled. I first saw him playing for Arsenal SIX years ago. He was exceptional, I thought that he was the future of the club. He really hasn't improved too much since which is a shame. Six years waiting for him to improve is hardly overblowing something is it?
true though

I'd like to think you've got your tongue in your cheek, but that's not the impression you give.Bro wrote:Yet another vast exaggeration of criticism on this guantanamo bay of a forum. Fuck knows what the sunderland fan on here thinks seeing you day room cases constantly overblowing everything. You lot are the types to issue a command of abandon ship upon sight of minor debris three miles off.
One guy said "the fame has gone to his head." Fucking hell. "He has the IQ of an orange" was it someone else said? And you're saying he's thick based on what? It was hilarious seeing Ramsey do so well, I bet you lot fucking hated him scoring the winner in the cup final. And don't give me any bollocks about 'he worked hard and kept his head down.' Someone holds a shisha pipe in a nightclub, so fucking what? The newspapers want a headline so they create one from nothing and the regulars on here who treat a lorry going past as an earthquake lap it up. So fucking sad.
You criticse the exageration and over-reaction found on this site. Both valid critcisms (it is a football forum though, not the Royal Society). However, you immediately follow those points up with 'guantanamo bay', abandon ship at the sight of debris ..., , I bet you hated Ramsey scoring the winner (yeh, we all really hated that), lorry, earhquake.
It's not unreasonable to think that someone previously seen smoking may not have just been holding the shisha pipe for decoration. It happened, it wasn't created.
A tad hypocritical, don't you think.
If you want to make a point, make it, but to follow it up with abuse overshadows your point and is as unreasonable as the behaviour you complain about.

Re: Jack Wilshere: Over-Rated?
He's been paid fucking handsomely for years now and been in the Spotlight with arsenal and England. He's been absolutely caned twice for smoking before and said after the second time how he'd genuinely learned his lesson etc etc
And hes still pissing around getting caught in these situations with his chav mates.
Nothing to do with his football performances - which are an issue in themselves - but just shows where his head is at.

Bro and Manorhouse, we tolerate all sorts of shit on here. Far more than any other gooner forum. However telling loyal gooners to fuck off up the lane is something we will not tolerate, so watch yourself.

To my ear (and based upon his previous indiscretions) he comes across as a dullard. There's nothing wrong with that, nothing whatsoever. Besides, do you honestly think Wilshere gives two shits for what some anonymous no-mark like me says about him on a message board?Bro wrote:You have nothing to base that on and are moaning for the sake of it. As for the rest of your post: nonsensical whataboutery.

Jack Wilshere a warrior? Fuck me sideways.Bro wrote:
He didn't commit a 'smoking offence'. He held a shisha pipe. How dare he enter a nightclub? How dare he hold a shisha pipe? It just gives ammunation to the fucking extreme cynics on here to spout bile about him, the same fuckers who for years whined about not having a warrior/Arsenal man/nasty fucker in the midfield. Saying he hasn't improved is incredibly unfair. The large chunks of seasons missed through injury every year, being played out of position since we signed Ozil, none of which can be put on him. He was played on the wing at times, and he was coming back into form before his injury. But don't let logic get in the way. This forum is an embarassment to the fanbase, nearly as much as our home support. Alot of people on here must be a fucking misery to live with judging on the incredible exaggerations they come out with.

And again, I don't get where this Mr. Arsenal 2.0 notion comes from.

If either of these idiots throw that in again I'm banning them permanently.
And before either of you wonderful super-loyal superfans whine like spoilt children about us censoring positive posters, we aren't. We won't have idiots come on here and insult lads that in the majority of cases have followed Arsenal for decades through thick and thin.

It was I that said he had the IQ of an orange and do you wan't to know why? Because after having to issue two grovelling apoligies in the past about being caught smoking the gormless idiot stares blankly at the camera while holding a shisha pipe!
Memo to Jack you're a professional athlete, you shouldn't be smoking, but if you really want to STOP letting people take pictures of you doing it

MARTIN KEOWN HAS HIS SAY ON WILSHERE'S LATEST SMOKING EPISODE
Jack Wilshere has once again made the headlines for the wrong reasons. When is he going to realise his place in the Arsenal team is under serious threat and start acting like a professional? Robert B, Fife
Surely it's time to start educating Jack and have somebody explain to him how to behave. If he was smoking that pipe, even if it doesn't do him any serious damage as a player I wouldn't put myself in that position. The goalkeeper has already lost his place over a smoking issue so you would never dream of being seen with anything – cigarette, shisha, lager, anything. Being in the team means so much to you and is such a reward for your efforts that it's not worth that risk. He is obviously going out and thinks he is in a private situation but you never are as a footballer, there is always somebody on the lookout. You have to be squeaky clean and if you are serious about your football that's how you should want to live anyway.

on Jack Wilshere…
I’ve spoken with him about that [smoking] and he’s not a smoker. He is of course sorry for what has happened. It’s down to him to master his life. He had the day off the next day and he went out to watch the Superbowl. When he’s here he has to follow the rules that we dictate here, when he’s out of his job it’s his own responsibility to behave like he wants to behave. I don't think there's any more to add on that. I believe his photo has been taken at half past 12 when he watched the Superbowl. I don't know any more of what happened and it's not of a big interest.
on being worried about Wilshere's reputation…
Every morning he's one of the first in and every afternoon certainly the last out. He works very hard, he's gone through some bad spells in his career and always recovered
Wenger on Wilshere
You're always worried for your players that they get what they don't deserve. But I think I observe him well and he behaves in a very professional way, I must say. Every morning he's certainly one of the first in and every afternoon certainly the last out. He works very hard, he's gone through some bad spells in his career and always recovered. It would be wrong to give him that kind of reputation because he's a serious player and he works very hard.
on getting through to Wilshere…
You have been 23 as well. You need sometimes to relieve the pressure a bit. I think today it's much more difficult because everywhere you go people make photos and a photo shows one second of your life. It doesn't define who you are. I believe you have to take that with a distance as well. I remember when I was in Brazil, I have been seen with some photos by people I didn't even know were around me so you have to be very careful about that. I believe he works hard, he practices well, he's ahead of schedule in his training, he's two weeks ahead, and you don't do that if you are not serious. As I told you, he is first in, last out, and he works very hard to get there. I am not worried at all about that.

Re: Jack Wilshere: Over-Rated?
Also I don’t believe for one minute that his continued absence from the team and our recent improvement in form is a coincidence.
Carzola is playing as well as he has at anytime during his Arsenal career and Ozil seems to have returned to the squad with renewed appetite, Coquelin is also looking useful. These are 3 players who could potentially have their starting place or role affected by the return of little “Mr Arsenal”
So fuck him I hope he is absent for a long time to come and tbh wouldn’t give a fuck if I never saw the little wanker again. The last thing we need is him coming back into the team, strutting around with his pigeon chest out, falling over and losing possession every time he is tackled.
He is shite shite shite shite.
