THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A VERY BIG Well Done! to LDB, NorthBank and Arseofacrow for really good Posts above!

Says all I'm feeling about how had the club/wenker bothered to get in the player/s we needed in January - we could still be sitting pretty...also of course wenker's inability to 'gee up' th eplayers who all look like they are half-comatose.

Another season where I almost began believing we just might, achieve something more than the virtual trophy...

FRENCH FOOL OUT!

yeah well articulated those 3, its useful to have post like that that put inot words well what im thinking but have trouble typing cos i dont know how to be concise.

its very convenient for people to wheel out the 1 point off the top line, but the complete lack of effort given against a a poor mid table side, at home, was unforgivable regardless of where we sit in the league, be it 1 point off the top (due solely to the whims of the fixture list being kind in the first half of the season) or scrapping for 4th where we will be soon, and where the sane predicted we would be.

If the manager gives fuck all so how can we except anything from the team.

I'm a managing director in a Nordic company and believe me, sales organization doesn't perform nearly as good as they can if I don't demand results, commitment and giving all they can. There has to be consequences if you show shit performance, It's the same in sports. Except for Arsenal.

How about this for context: we haven't won anything for nine fucking years.

Wenger out.

I think the boos were to do with the frustartion of having a free kick in the last minute and instead of lumping it in, we played a short free kick and never tried to get forward throughout the whole of added time. It reminded me of when we played Barca and had that same free kick on the half way line and what did we do - we played a short free kick and decided to go and try and break them down that way coz that really had paid dividends throughout the previous 90 mins

He's right. But he's also a massive massive prick. And if we don't win the league then i'd love nothing better than for City to beat these *word censored* to it. The rich beaten by the richer.

A 'specialist in failure' ouch. No comeback to that cos it's true.

About time someone spelled that out to Wenger.

Mourinho's right, but he can also fuck off. He's been playing these mind games for weeks and weeks, and as soon as someone dares comment back, he throws his toys out the pram and starts getting offensive. What a *word censored*.

Absolutely Dan - he is right and still a giant prick.

Why do people continue to engage him? The likes of Wenger and Pellegrini should be too old and too wise to get roped into his circus.

And as I've said before the more Mourinho winds Wenger up the more convinced Wenger becomes that the trophies are 'unfair', the more determined he becomes to beat him without spending money and playing fairydust football and ultimately the easier it becomes for Mourinho's team to pick us off. That's the reasons Mourinho takes more jabs at Wenger than anyone else, not because of some personal dislike or whatever.

"Arsenal fans dont want a change of manager"

Really? Thousands upon thousands do from where I stand. JC should pull his head out of Wenger's arse and tell it like it is.

Mourinho is right. Only Wenger has the cheek to stay on as manager for 8 years without winning anything. If i were him i will immediately pack up and find a hole to hide my face

LDB wrote:Booing at full time was the epitome of pathetic. Thankfully it didn't seem too widespread.
Your actually saying its pathetic to boo millionaires, who don't give a shit, when you as a paying customer, have contributed to their wages, your comment is what's pathetic, fans have a right to voice their opinion. Has it dawned on you, that their would be no anger from the supporters , if Wenger had spent money in January, to give us a realistic chance to win us the title. Instead, he chose to get a loan signing, who was injured before his medical, and then in an even more ridiculous move, rather than address the issue of needing striker, he waits until the very end of the window to try to get whoever he can on loan, think about that for a second, and maybe then you will realise why fans decided to boo the team at full time.
