We should stand up and be proud that we have a manager who is never afraid to fail.defleppardisking wrote:Mourinho is right. Only Wenger has the cheek to stay on as manager for 8 years without winning anything. If i were him i will immediately pack up and find a hole to hide my face
He positively seeks failure out, only a manager who can look failure in the face and stare it down would not make a January signing of a fit player when contemplating the strength of the squad we have.
Bringing in a past it Swede with a broken back when our midfield is in need of reinforcements, and with Giroud running on fumes he stubbornly refuses to add a striker.
Failure? Wenger lovingly embraces it.

Damn right. He is so used to failure that he is contented with a champions league place and no trophies. Who would have thought that he would become such a loser after we went unbeaten in the leaguefoxinthebox2001 wrote:We should stand up and be proud that we have a manager who is never afraid to fail.defleppardisking wrote:Mourinho is right. The CL football that is helping to stockpile unspent funds.
The CL football we pay between £80-£120 per match for so we can watch them qualify, then not bother too much about topping the group so we can get ripped a new one by the first quality side we face in the knock outs.
We only qualify for the cash, we have no ambition to win it, and the money lies unspent.
So whats to get so excited about in the CL?

If the manager gives fuck all so how can we except anything from the team.
I'm a managing director in a Nordic company and believe me, sales organization doesn't perform nearly as good as they can if I don't demand results, commitment and giving all they can. There has to be consequences if you show shit performance, It's the same in sports. Except for Arsenal.
also you guys seem a bit 'rude' or was that just us?!

But seriously, don't mind that at all. We Finns are quite easy going people once you got to know them. Maybe were not that easy to communicate at first, but you'll get used to it. I have heard that foreigners think that Finns are usually friendly, so I don't know about being rude - at least I'm not...
Hmmm, places to go in Helsinki... if you think about nightclubs, here are some suggestions...

I live about 200 kilometers north from Helsinki, but usually spend couple of days per week at our Helsinki office. But I'm not that familiar which places are "hot" at the moment...

Blah blah blah, booing your team during a title race is pathetic. Simple. We're no better then those scouse *word censored* who boo'd after drawing with West Ham that time. As I said, thankfully far more did nothing . If any other set of fans did the same in our position we'd laugh at them.BFG4 wrote:Your actually saying its pathetic to boo millionaires, who don't give a shit, when you as a paying customer, have contributed to their wages, your comment is what's pathetic, fans have a right to voice their opinion. Has it dawned on you, that their would be no anger from the supporters , if Wenger had spent money in January, to give us a realistic chance to win us the title. Instead, he chose to get a loan signing, who was injured before his medical, and then in an even more ridiculous move, rather than address the issue of needing striker, he waits until the very end of the window to try to get whoever he can on loan, think about that for a second, and maybe then you will realise why fans decided to boo the team at full time.LDB wrote:Booing at full time was the epitome of pathetic. I don't think they booed the team, more the manager? I hope so anyway, although attacking-wise we also have very little to praise the players for.LDB wrote:

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
It was the shit scared, timid performance that was booed. Fantastic chance to beat utd thrown away again that was booed.
As were talking about context and keep being reminded were 2nd, a team with title ambitions (supposedly, more realisticly Wengers ambition is top four only) should be fired up for a game like that. Like the fans were.
But yet again we are let down against them with shit managemen.
In the context of 9 yrs of abject failure and capitulation, in the context of Wenger not signing that striker in the summer or January to push us over the line. In the context of fans paying through the nose to yet again watch Wenger shrink into his coat, bereft of ideas.
In the context of fans being fed up with this bullshit season after groundhog season, its totally justified to vent by booing.

I agree, and if we ever find ourselves in a title race, then I'd definitely condemn the booing.LDB wrote:Blah blah blah, booing your team during a title race is pathetic.

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
Funny how the Wenger supporters like to put things in the 'context' of the immediate or short term.
Like - we are top, how can you criticise the manage? Or - we are still in CL and FA cup cant you just be happy. JD was particularly good at this and would put Wengers years of failure in the context of a missed pen or injured player.
They conveniently disregard the 'context' of years and years of capitulation and powder-puff performances resulting in complete failure. Yet they quite like to remind us of Wengers successfull times of oh so long ago and hold them up as som kind of justification for giving Wenger a new contract.
Then theres the #flipfloppers who 'take one game at a time' and change their opinion on when to criticise and boo and when to 'just be happy were top' as it suits them from one week to the next.
Having said that, I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion. I may not agree with it but I'll fight to the death for their right to hold it.

They were out in drones on Twitter after the Liverpool and Utd matches - the slightest hint of anyone questioning the all-knowing Wenger, and they're instantly labelled a 'plastic'
