THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think leopards get a tough ride. It's more of a biological restriction than a personality defect.
And giraffes get off scot free. Cheetahs too.

I think his use of the word "acurate" rules out it being augie's post he is refering to, McD! :-P

Saw a quote from Nasri ahead of CC final Sunday about how we only won 2 league games after we lost in 2011. I couldn't believe it - looked it up and indeed we won only 2 of our last 11 League games to go alongside the cup defeats at United and Barca where we mustered a combined total of about minus 3 shots.

I remember it being bad but don't remember the collapse being that abysmal!

Shocking collapse. Although, that's become our calling card in recent seasons. Lets hope this season is different!

Yep! And I remember it all too well.

It was when it became undeniably clear that us not being able to compete with Chelsea and Man C was a load of old shite. There's no way they should have been able to finish above us that season. The reason they did wasn't because of their umlimited spending. It was because Wengers weak management after the teams disgracefully complacent cup final showing meant we won less than 20% of our games in the last quarter of the season.

That is relegation form and it carried on into the next season culminating in the 8-2 debacle and a shambolic 4-3 defeat at f-ing Bkackburn!!

Yet Mr Untouchable, the supposed miracle worker working with his hands tied, managed to survive
