Seems like Ba to Chelsea is as good as done after Sturridge left to Liverpool.

I fully expect to see no additions to the squad because shit for brains will not be able to offload any of the shite he has taken such a pride in accumulating.....so we'll hear all about our very big squad again and how there were no players available to improve the squad available at the right price.
When Wenger says he fully expects to be active in the market, he means busy trying to offload the useless fuckers that nobody else wants. Yossi Benayoun is available to be loaned again and I hear Aliadiere is looking to move back to the PL again so maybe we'll sign one of those two winners
Yep I agree, think Ba would have been a great signing especially at £7million, saying that Wenger would probably play him out of position and ruined him, no point in getting excited in that *word censored* signing anyone decent at all, the window may as well shut nowaugie wrote:Chavski meet demba ba release fee and are meeting him today so ba has been withdrawn from Geordies squad for tonight's game - I might be wrong but I think we might well regret not signing this guy

http://www.football-italia.net/28986/ar ... C9m-acquahArsenal are ready to make a €9m offer for 20-year-old Palermo midfielder Afriyie Acquah, who is on loan to Parma.
The Ghanaian youngster was handed to Parma this summer on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season, but they do not seem intent on taking that up.

Never understood why people moaned about Benayoun.markyp wrote:re; benayoun,we should have bought him,he knew where the goal was and is 10X the player that gervinho could ever be,yes we are that shite that i wish benyoun to be back with us,to be fair he is an ok player tho and is probably better than quite a few of the so called players we have at the mo
Is it bad for me to think that Charlie Austin would be a good say 4th choice striker for us if he was willing to do it (i.e. not get huge game time)?SteveO 35 wrote:This is the one I've been waiting for......Plymouth starlet Luke Young

Any more news on Charlie Austin?
The reason is simple Quartz - people generally think we should be doing better than him. I know people get sick of me dragging up the "moving to compete with Europe's elite" and the top ticket prices, but people expect us to be doing better than making loan signings of players that are OK, but not good enough for the top teams. If Benayoun was top quality still then Chelsea would have him in their team, just like United would have kept Silvestre if he still had it, and City would still have Wayne Bridge if he was any good. Benayoun is a decent enough player but for a team that claims to compete on four fronts he is not good enough to be anything other than a 2nd or 3rd option.QuartzGooner wrote:Never understood why people moaned about Benayoun.markyp wrote:re; benayoun,we should have bought him,he knew where the goal was and is 10X the player that gervinho could ever be,yes we are that shite that i wish benyoun to be back with us,to be fair he is an ok player tho and is probably better than quite a few of the so called players we have at the mo
He had one bad game for us, otherwise contributed good work rate, a few goals and good passes.
He has been injured a lot this season but I thought we could have done worse than give him a one year deal and got more from him than Arshavin and Gervinho.
