The Yaya Sanogo lack of Progress Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I hope I never have to witness this joke in an Arsenal shirt again.

Of all the criticisms I've had of Wenger this is honestly the one I've struggled most to get my head around. Jokes aside, how could he possibly think that Sanogo is or ever will be good enough?

Some of the praise/mitigation I've heard thrown his way is laughable. As though the learning to play football bit is likely to come with time and experience. Stuff like he's strong or he runs quite a lot. What a pathetic excuse for an AFC striker.

He's the most useless player i have ever seen. How did he get into football in the first place i wonder. He's still young though and it's never too late to get a real job like delivering letters and parcels.

Got panicked but then I saw that his goal was deflected and the universe makes sense again.

DID Sanogo actually score for Palace ?? Not saying he didn't but saw goal without replay and it looked as if his shot was going across the goal but went in off defender. A replay from behind the goal would be conclusive. I will apolgise to the great man if I have incorrectly cast doubts on his finishing ability.
