With all this flip-flopping I cant remember. Seeing as you decide which is which Id appreciate it if youd let me know cause I dont want to look like a stupid, arrogant know-all.

Its common knowledge that Wengers dithering and small time bids has cost us in the past.
The ones that immediately spring to mind are Cahill, Mata, Higuain. No matter how you dress it up the +1 Suarez bid was typical get-him-on-the-cheap insulting bid and we didnt get him because of that bid I believe. A proper bid not designed to unsettle the player and we could have got him.
Btw you still want Wenger sacked?
The world has truly gone mad if 40m is considered a "get him on the cheap bid". This was a player with a track record that includes biting opposition and being found guilty of racism. It looks a bit of a low bid in light of his form this season though but at the time it was a fair bid imo.
My view on Wenger is that he should have been sacked at the beginning of last summer, sacking him in the middle of a season will only fuck us up in the short term. Things would need to get pretty dire for me to support a mid-season sacking. The man coming in would need a full summer to establish himself in the club. Now, if we maintain our challenge for the whole season and/or win a trophy then I will want him to stay. At the end of the day I will support any manager that is taking us in the right direction and has the players playing with heart, confidence and organisation. Call me fickle but I asked someone on here once if they'd still want Wenger gone if we won the quadruple and he said yes. I'd rather be fickle then bitter and frankly a bit childish
I think the gripe about the suarez saga was how it ended - we clearly wanted him and made a couple of bids before going back with a £40m + £1 bid that we mistakenly thought would trigger a release clause. Naturally the victims knocked us back but when they did, we retreated into the shadows like meagre lambs - if we wanted and rated him then why did we not go back in with a 45m or 50m bid instead of just accepting being slapped down like the victims bitches ?
My impression was that the main gripe was that when we were told that any bid above 40m triggers a release clause that we then bid 40m and 1 pound. Frankly I think is was outrageous.....

Any striker that we would like/want will be cup-tied in Europe anyway.
If Remy is on loan for the season to the toon, does that mean QPR's hands are tied regards selling him now. I just think he is the most realistic target if we could get him.
Who cares ? We not going to win the champs league anyway so we should buy the best striker available even if he cant play against Bayern - we have only got 2 more games remaining in Europe this season anyway so it should have no influence on our transfer policy now
The player himself might care. After the world cup he may pocket a much bigger signing on fee if he has a good competition. Why should he leave a club with any chance of a major trophy for one that doesn't
I'm not looking at this from Wenger's point of view, I was wondering what an agent may advise his player to do

Id have thought that an agent would encourage a big money move asap because hed get a big pay-out?
