If we win the cup I wouldn't give a shit about my vendetta against wenger, It would be like winning 5 trophies in one. Seriously when we won the cup in 2005 in the penalty shoot out I don't remember being nervous at all, it was like water off a ducks back, who cares if we lose we'll have next year I thought. When Viera slammed home that winning penalty I was fucking ecstatic but it was nothing really. I would go ten times more mental if we win it this year, fucking hell I would happily kiss wenger's fucking shoe if we win it this year. I'm still 75% convinced we'll fuck it up, such are my scars after the bottlings of 2011

No don't get me wrong I am also desperate for a trophy and when/if we win it I will be over the moon regardless of who is in charge , however I just feel that if winning the FA Cup means for definite another 3 more years of Wenger then it will have come at a cost IMO.

I think we'll win it mate. At 75% you're being very pessimistic. I agree about us bottling things and we have a rich history of that, but I think we'll get the job done this time. I look at players like BFG, Sagna, Arteta, Flamini, Ramsey, Kos, etc and feel they will make sure of that.

So you would happily sacrifice 3 more years with le cock in charge for that 1 cup win in 9 years ? I too badly want to win but my vendetta/hatred of the man will not go out of the front of my mind for as much as 1 hour. Right now I would suggest that the future prospects of this club depend more on wenker going than on 1 fa cup win so that cup win, as welcome as it would be for all of us, does not negate the harm that will be done to this club if he stays another 3 years

Really?? Here's a reminder of the team that lost to 4TH DIVISION Bradford not so long ago......starting eleven....

• 1 Szczesny
• 3 Sagna
• 4 Mertesacker
• 5 Vermaelen
• 28 Gibbs
• 22 Coquelin
• 10 Wilshere
• 16 Ramsey
• 19 Cazorla
• 9 Podolski
• 27 Gervinho

This Arsenal team (squad) is more than capable of losing to anyone. It all comes down to their attitude on the day. Several times this season they appear to have walked out on the pitch thinking the job was done before it started. We cannot afford to do that or we will lose!!

Having been successful by having a side with pace and power on a small pitch … move to a new stadium with a much bigger pitch … and then slow the type of game you play right down and make the team smaller and less physical. This will fool your opponents who were expecting something much tougher to deal with........>continues<
Not gonna quote the whole piece as it'll fuck the thread but have to admit that is both funny and frighteningly accurate in places!!

Fair enough, but I'm confident we'll do it now. This is an opportunity our boys won't let slip.

Right now we are favourites, but how many times have we heard excuses after the game, when we (yet again) didnt show up. As much as i dislike Wenger, i cant blame him for the attitude of some of our players, who seem to think, that they dont have to bother, when they play inferior opposition, that is pathetic.

You could say that attitude comes from the manager :rubchin:

Too hypothetical. There is only one trophy that Wenger is judged on "The Stan Kroenke trousers another £25m for a top four finish Trophy". Whether There's Only One wins a real cup is immaterial in the board's thinking.......£2.5m prize money for winning the cup....not a patch on the glory of 4th

So just enjoy the fucking cup win if it happens. It has no bearing on Wenger's future
