SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

"Serie A champions Juventus are also keen on the forward, but it’s understood Fiorentina would rather sell to Arsenal rather than risk seeing Jovetic become a star in Turin."

Even Fiorentina knows how it's done.. but Wenger does not. :cussing:

David Beckham: "I've tried to wear them in Man United shirt as soon as possible and now the older two are United fans, but Romeo is for Arsenal. I don't know how this happened. Well in fact I do. I took Romeo to the Arsenal game and Arsene Wenger was so nice to him. He gave him a shirt with his name and favorite number
Arsene knows    I bet there was a contract where the shirt label should be :)

News breaking this lunchtime in the Football Transfer Tavern suggests that Arsenal are close to landing their first summer signing in Fiorentina striker and long-term target Stevan Jovetic after activating his massive release clause.

Anthony Ashworth from Metro reports that Jovetic's agent is currently in London thrashing out a £24.5 million deal and it now appears that the Gunners have successfully beaten Italian giants Juventus to the Montenegro international striker.

Hes on his way

Sanogo and Jovetić. Great start to the summer.

Two young strikers with bags of potential, and in Jovetić's case, on the cusp of being world class.

I hope Sanogo turns out similar to Benteke for us. He certainly has the build, power and pace.
