Remember reading in Dennis book that Van Gaal is a good manager at getting the best out of what's there and isn't too a**ed about letting DoF get on with recruitment. If they manage to get into Europa he'"ll get them to latter stages maybe win a domestic cup and if we don't get sorted then 4th isn't beyond them, which compared to this seasons debacle would be an achievement of sorts.northbank123 wrote:Van Gaal overwhelming favourite for me. Will steady the ship and even if they aren't competing straight away when he goes in 2 or 3 years' time they'll be back there or thereabouts. Will be able to motivate and attract players as much as anyone else in that role.
Not surprised to see loads of their moronic glory hunters demanding Class of 92 appointments. We've just appointed somebody who despite a good managerial career for the last decade and a half in England wasn't up to the United job, let's appoint a team who have no qualifications or management experience.
It was good while it lasted.

Whoever takes over will still inherit Rafael, Smalling, Jones, Evans, Buttner et al as a defence, but without the options of Vidic or Ferdinand. Should be fun.

I think they should give the job to Phil (Mr Tango) Brown...imagine the vitriol he would receive from opposing fans

Re: Let's All Laugh At Man Utd!
All joking aside, they should have waited 2 weeks to sack him - imagine sacking him the day after the victims win the league.......it would totally deprive the scousers of the media love in that lies ahead cos the only club the media worship more than the victims is manure

SHHIIIIIIITTTT! You're right Augie - what a bunch of killjoy barstards...
It's going to be bad enough when/if the victims do win the prem -all those gobshytes everywhere....TV/Radio/down the local pub in their (new knock off nigel) shirts....Jeezzzzusss as DB said for the sake of Humanity may they fuck it up.
I just hope man $hitty can pull it out of the bag, otherwise we're faced with the title going to either mourhino and the no class chavs or the gobshyte moaning victims

Re: Let's All Laugh At Man Utd!
hehe that would have been cheeky, and pool would have not liked that.
Any way I would just like to thank David Moyes, for the honesty, integrity and hilarity he brought to Manchester Utd Football Club. I enjoyed every loss being confident that there would be no respite for him. Watching the goals fly in the wrong end at OT, watching plastic mancs blow up, as their normally reliable team lose all respect against their opponents. It was better than watching relegation fodder beat Liverpool under Hodgson.
Sadly all good things come to end, but hopefully not too quickly, with Giggsy asking his mates to try and run a bit harder now, maybe will have a limited effect.
Hope the new manager has a mare too. It's been a blast!

Re: Let's All Laugh At Man Utd!
at last Moyes has got Everton finishing ahead of Man Utd..took him ten years or more but worth it in the end.... Theory of the conspiracy variety I heard.. fergie could not have stomached a successful replacement like Mourinho, obviously he didn't want Utd to fail but he was happy to have a dour uncomplicated replacement that would live under his shadow.
Re: Let's All Laugh At Man Utd!
the sad repercussion for us is that UTD will be firing on all cylinders next season, that means that you can bet they will qualify for CL again as will Liverpool,City and Chavski meaning we will be battling it out for Europa league places.at what point will wiggy ever see that Wenker is finished?maybe when it finally hits his pocket like the Glazers are now finding out

Re: Let's All Laugh At Man Utd!
Moyes is a genious and Di Matteo must envy him. 6 years contract and to be sacked in first year.
That means 5 years of getting the same paycheck for doing nothing as he would by sitting at OT.
Of course, if he doesn't take a new job in the meantime.

Re: Let's All Laugh At Man Utd!
I wouldn't have been surprised if that was the case, but then again, no manager with an ego would have gone there as they could never have done what old red nose did. Now, of course it's set up for an ego to come in and 'rescue' them. Still, it's been great fun watching them lose to the likes of Swansea and Sunderland in the cup games and have the piss taken out of them up and down the country for months.Bradywasking wrote:at last Moyes has got Everton finishing ahead of Man Utd..took him ten years or more but worth it in the end.... We are a bigger club than Everton so I would hope we'd aim higher than Martinez.
Christ, our manager is the 3rd highest paid in the world. We would have a choice of Heynckes,Ancelotti,Fat Rafa,Conte,Simeone and we would settle for the manager Wigan fans call Bottom 4 Bob.
